90 Day Fiancé: Why The Potthast Family Is So Unlikeable

Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers don’t want to watch the Potthast family anymore because they think they is toxic and acts entitled. Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet first featured on the TLC show in 2017 after meeting each other through Tinder. Elizabeth was visiting Dublin, where Andrei was working as a bouncer. Even though Elizabeth’s family had doubts about Andrei’s intentions, she applied for his K-1 visa. However, Andrei was dragged for his controlling behavior, and Elizabeth’s family warned her that she might be marrying a man who wants a submissive wife. The duo had an explosive fight just before the wedding when Elizabeth went against Andrei’s wishes and still celebrated her bachelorette party in Miami.

Eventually, 90 Day Fiancé star Andrei forgave Elizabeth and the couple tied the knot in Florida in October 2017. Even though Andrei and Elizabeth had several fights during the season, many viewers were convinced that this couple is genuinely in love. In January 2019, Andrei and Elizabeth welcomed their baby girl, Eleanor Louise Castravet. Since 2019, the pair has appeared on every season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. However, many fans think that TLC should recast Andrei, Elizabeth, and her family because they have become problematic.

Elizabeth’s Family Attack and Disrespect Andrei

Elizabeth’s family doesn’t like Andrei, and they constantly remind him of that. During the last season, Jenn was furious to see that her dad, Chuck Potthast, paying for Andrei and Elizabeth’s second wedding. It wasn’t a secret that Chuck paid for the grand event. Still, Jenn acted shocked and mentioned that the wedding was over the top, saying: “We walk in, and it’s like oh, this is where the f**k all the money that my dad has given them.” That same night, an inebriated Charlie created a scene in front of the guests and insulted Andrei. He said, “He might be royalty in Moldova, but he’s a b**ch ass in America.” Chuck asked Charlie to calm down, but Charlie told Andrei: “Don’t come to America and try to live off my dad.” Elizabeth’s brother could have said these things to Andrei in person, but he decided to insult him in front of his relatives at his own wedding, which 90 Day Fiancé fans didn’t particularly enjoy.

Elizabeth’s dad has decided to welcome Andrei into his real estate business, and he has kick-started their new house flipping project. Chuck and Andrei are enjoying working with each other, which Jenn, Becky, and Charlie can’t tolerate. They said that since Andrei comes from an economically disadvantaged country, he should start from the bottom. Overall, they seem jealous that Chuck is giving Andrei the same opportunities that he gave his kids. Alas, many 90 Day Fiancé viewers think that Chuck is free to work with anyone. The yelling at the kids is the main reason why most 90 Day Fiancé viewers don’t want to watch Andrei, Elizabeth, and her family anymore. The fans have noticed Andrei using f-words in front of his 2-year-old daughter. Once, she got so agitated watching her angry dad that she started crying. Similarly, Jenn, Charlie, and Becky have young kids, and they are mostly around when the filming is going on. Still, the parents use abusive and rude language, which is inappropriate and difficult for 90 Day Fiancéviewers to watch.
