90 Day Fiancé star Yara Zaya’s mother, Olga, has been spotted in footage from an old Ukrainian reality TV show. While Yara is often seen butting heads with Jovi Dufren and his mom, Gwen Eymard, on TLC, very little is known about her own family and past in Ukraine. Before being the most stylish cast member of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Yara was featured on several dating shows back in Kyiv, before her plastic surgery, as she searched for rich foreign men to marry.

Currently, on HEA season 6, Yara’s storyline is her being lonely due to Jovi’s job while complaining about Gwen being bossy. With Jovi gone for over three months for his ROV supervisor job, 90 Day Fiancé star Yara has taken up the role of a single mom for baby Mylah. While Jovi’s mother, Gwen, whom fans think is the best parent ever, offers to help, Yara shoots her down severely. Despite 90 Day Fiancé‘s Yara getting COVID-19 and Gwen helping her with everything, the Ukrainian fashionista still made her and Jovi’s grandma, Barbra, do all the packing when she moved into a new house away from New Orleans. Yara, being unreasonable with her attitude, has irked many fans, especially those who feel she’s thankless for having Gwen when 90 Day Fiancé co-stars Natalie Mordovtseva and Kalani Faagata have to deal with Trish and Lesina.

However, Yara shows a different shade when interacting with her own mom, Olga–or at least she used to, according to a throwback clip from a Ukrainian dating show, as discovered by a Reddit user. “Mama Yara made an appearance with Yara on one of the Ukrainian show!! I didn’t understand a single word but she seems so nice!!” the fan wrote about Yara’s mom, who was a part of the show’s storyline. As previously reported, this is the show called Love Online, in which future 90 Day Fiancé star Yara admitted to getting a nose job while she was dating a Russian guy named Raphael, who stayed in Barcelona. Check out the episode of Love Online below:

The show followed the 90 Day Fiancé star’s journey of meeting Raphael in Barcelona and spending three days with him, only for Yara and him to break up in the end. However, in the clip featuring Yara’s mom, Olga can be seen worrying about Yara flying out of the country and wishing her daughter not to make the same mistake she did and end up having a hard life. The video also mentions the jobs that Yara did before becoming a 90 Day Fiancé star, including working as a waitress, seamstress and administrator, while dreaming of becoming a psychologist.

In a different show from 2014 called Fashion To The People, “big party girl” Yara confessed that she wanted to marry a foreigner, as they’re better and smarter than Ukrainian men. The host of the show revealed that 90 Day Fiancé star Yara’s mother, Olga, is a simple baker from Zakarpattia, and her father is a successful businessman from Hungary. However, the 90 Day Fiancépersonality’s parents divorced when she was little, which led to her being significantly traumatized, after which Yara moved to Kyiv but was afraid of finding traits of her Hungarian father in other men.
