90 Day Fiancé: Yara Zaya’s Painful Past Before Meeting Jovi Revealed

Yara Zaya is a 90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite, but very little is known about her past and her family back in Ukraine. Now, fans have found Yara in a few dating reality TV shows, where she not only looked different before plastic surgery, but revealed how her history with her parents affected her dating life. While Yara seems to have been the confident 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star she is as baby daughter Mylah’s mother, she has painful childhood memories.

Fans were shocked upon seeing 20-something Yara in her appearances before getting the nose job and fillers. Along with what job Jovi does for a living, Yara’s past has always something fans are curious about. A show called Fashion to the People had Yara, whose real name is “Yaroslava” speak of being a big party girl and looking for love with foreigners. But in a different 90 Day Fiancé-esque show Love Online in 2014, Yara dreamed of becoming a psychologist and had experience working as a waitress, a seamstress, and an administrator.

As reported previously, the show also featured Yara’s mother Olga, and when watching the show, a Reddit fan discovered more details about Jovi’s wifey through translation. The fan says Yara was 20 and revealed that her father was “ethnically Hungarian,” not just a businessman who worked/lived in Hungary. Yara also seems to have a memory from when she was eight months old in which her father pushed her grandmother and mother. Yara’s father later abandoned her when she was a little girl. Because of this, Yara’s Ukrainian mom is against her marrying a foreigner. Fans have yet to see Yara’s mother’s opinion of son-in-law Jovi on 90 Day Fiancé.

Yara’s mother Olga was a baker in 2014 who earned around 100 euros a month. This also happens to be the amount that 90 Day Fiancé star Yara admitted to spending on a single night at a party during her visit to Spain to meet then Russian boyfriend Raphael. Yara is religious and expressed how important it is for her future child to get baptized, and also is open about her nose job, fake eyelashes, and extensions. Yara also revealed that she gets her lip fillers every three months, and has also undergone other cosmetic procedures that would remain a secret. The plot of the show is essentially Yara meeting Raphael and getting dumped in three days.

While the man seems to break up with Yara over her keeping her “party girl” persona a secret from him, he tests her honesty by making a girlfriend of his hang out with the 90 Day Fiancé star. Things don’t go well as Yara ends up smoking and drinking with the woman — and allegedly makes out with her, leading to Raphael and her relationship ending. However, years later, Yara did find a perfect and understanding match in Aquarius man Jovi, who fit her Gemini personality like a missing puzzle piece.
