Doctor Who: 10 Hilarious Alien Memes
Doctor Who has an incredibly complex storyline, a brilliant hero, and loveable companions. But where there is The Doctor, there is sure to be aliens. For without them, there are no complex moral questions, sacrifice, love, lessons, growth, and plot. Throughout the years, viewers have watched as materials like tin foil and salt and pepper shakers advanced into incredible feats of design.
They saw The Time Lord battle against and work with different species, turn the mundane into the fantastical world of sci-fi, and show that being good and kind is what matters, that killing is never the answer, that there is a time to let go and change. And all of this was achieved while providing excellent meme content.
10 The Daleks

The Daleks hate anyone who isn’t of Dalek kind. They seek to be superior and know only hate. Although The Doctor believes again and again that the Daleks have been destroyed, they return stronger than ever.
A Dalek is encased in a cold metal shell and is a vulnerable soft creature without its armor. But although the armor protects them, it also prevents them from feeling anything, even a ray of sun. In the season 1 episode “Dalek,” a Dalek who started to feel emotions and was no longer pure Dalek, ordered Rose Tyler to obey its request to die.

Aliens love planet Earth, which is unfortunate for the humans who live there. Whether it’s the humans or the rocks of the Earth itself, they keep coming.
But The Doctor, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, has taken a liking to Earth and mankind. Every time there’s a new alien species in disguise from plain sight or hatching a new plan in the shadows, The Doctor is there. Planet Earth is defended.
8 Midnight

Midnight was a unique companion-lite episode. Viewers held their breath in suspense as The Doctor tried to save himself and his fellow passengers as they traveled along the surface of Midnight, the planet of sun poisoned diamonds.
In one scene, The Doctor is in the cockpit when Mechanic Claude thinks he sees something running toward the shuttle bus. Audience members strain their necks as they try and see the blurred shadow that makes its way toward the bus. No amount of pressing the pause button or changing the screen brightness yields any results, though.
7 “Moisturize Me”
View this post on InstagramDid you like Cassandra? She is probably one of my favourite villains. #doctorwhomemes #doctorwho #doctorwhocassandra #doctorwhofandom #doctorwhobbc #tenthdoctor #ninthdoctor #davidtennant #10thdoctor #9thdoctor #rosetyler #tumblr #moisturizeme #timeywimey
An alien who crossed paths with both The Ninth Doctor and The Tenth Doctor was Cassandra. Priding herself as the last pure human, all that remains of her is skin, eyes, and a mouth.
Her brain sits in a container of liquid and her consciousness survives to animate the stretched sheet of skin suspended on a metal frame. Her most famous line? “Moisturize me.”
6 The Face Of Boe
View this post on InstagramStill has me shook 😂😂 – creds to the peep on the subreddit #doctorwho #whovian #nine #ten #eleven #twelve #thirteen #christophereccleston #davidtennant #mattsmith #petercapaldi #jodiewhittaker #rosetyler #billiepiper #marthajones #freemaageyman #donnanoble #catherinetate #amypond #karengillan #rorywillian #arthurdarvill #claraoswald #jennacoleman #billpotts #pearlmackie #nardole #mattlucas #tardis #timelordstatus – Haider
The Face Of Boe gave The Doctor a message saying “You Are Not Alone,” just before he died. But like any show that has a “wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey,” order of events, it was not the last time viewers would see the alien.
Like the audience, The Doctor and Martha discovered in the season 3 episode “Last Of The Time Lords” that Captain Jack Harkness is The Face Of Boe. It was a moment that shocked viewers and continues to this day, to be a plot twist no one expected.
5 This Comparison

When The Doctor and Rose receive a message, the TARDIS materializes in New New York on New Earth. They go to the New New York Hospital where The Doctor finds the message is from The Face Of Boe. Novice Hame, a feline humanoid from the species Catkind and a member of The Sisters of Plenitude, is The Face Of Boe’s carer.
But she also knows about the experiments done on the genetically grown humans – humans farmed in the search for disease cures. And when The Doctor finds out, he isn’t at all happy.
4 The Doctor & The Monsters

The Doctor and the monsters. As Madame De Pompadour once said, you cannot have one without the other. Every time The Doctor defeats the villains, more come. Sometimes they are old foes, and other times, ones never seen before.
The Doctor has to make the decisions no one else wants to make, choices that continue to haunt the Time Lord through time, space, and each regeneration.
3 Dalek Amnesia
This meme has taken inspiration from the season 7 episode “Asylum Of The Daleks.” It’s one of the last episodes with beloved companions Amy and Rory, making it a memorable season starter. It’s also the episode that introduced Clara Oswin Oswald, but at the moment, viewers knew her only as Oswin Oswald.
Oswin was a tech genius, so impressive in her knowledge and skill that the Daleks did a full human to Dalek conversion to her. But she fought back, she stayed human in her mind. She saved The Doctor, Amy, and Rory, and eliminated any association with Daleks and The Doctor in the process.
2 Vashta Nerada

The Vashta Nerada made an appearance in the season 4 two-part adventure “Silence In The Library,” and “Forest Of The Dead.” They were one of the darkest enemies The Doctor ever faced because, well, they dwelled in the shadows, and they were also heartless.
They ate whoever stood in their path and pursued anyone who entered their forests. They essentially killed River Song and broke the hearts of countless viewers, as well as The Doctor’s.
1 Only Time Lords

The question must be asked: is it only The Doctor who dresses like a put together disaster? Or is it all Time Lords? Every regeneration of The Doctor has had a unique fashion sense, either wearing the same outfit all the time or changing when it suits them.
From outrageous color combinations to questionable accessories, a Time Lord is easy to spot in a crowd. Just look for question marks, bow ties, celery, or an overly long thick multicolored block scarf.
