Promised Neverland Live-Action Movie Trailer Teases A Faithful Adaptation
The upcoming live-action film adaption of The Promised Neverland received a full trailer showing plenty of crucial scenes. The Promised Neverland began as a manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, a popular one among readers. Notable for its atmosphere, The Promised Neverland follows a group of orphans led by 11-year-old Emma. The series begins happily inside Grace Field House, but things take a disturbing turn in the opening chapter. Together with her best friends Ray and Norman, Emma plans to escape the House, which is under Isabella’s watchful gaze. The Promised Neverland is expanding into multimedia, including a Japanese live-action movie adaption coming in December. The first teaser was released in August.
The website for The Promised Neverland film posted a new, full trailer for the cinematic adaption. Also, the site shared a new poster highlighting major players in the story. Also, Promised Neverland manga artist Posuka Demizu did artwork based on the poster. Check it all out below.

Based on the trailer, it seems the movie will be a faithful adaption of The Promised Neverland’s first major storyline. Fans of the manga and anime will recognize all the key scenes shown. It is surprising the trailer spoils the pivotal first demon sighting, as it would have been a chilling surprise for those who haven’t read the manga/watched the anime. While so far appearing faithful, it remains to be seen if the film’s performances can match the anime’s first season’s intensity. In the meantime, fans can check out a recently-released prequel bonus chapter to The Promised Neverland manga.
