A Quiet Place Part II has proven to be just as thrilling and intense as the original, with new characters brought in and plenty of scary brushes with the alien creatures to keep audiences entertained. While the movie is all about silence at its core, there is still time for the characters to develop their own individual personalities.

The focus was once again on the Abbott family, showcasing them from both the start of the apocalypse and in the aftermath of the original movie. With several fresh characters as well, the movie draws in the audience because of their personalities, with people willing them to survive against the odds. But out of all the main characters in this sequel, who is the most likable?

10 Alien Creature

Out of all the characters in the movie, it is quite obviously the alien creatures that are the least likable. These beasts are the ones who have taken over Earth and happily kill anybody that they can hear. While they can’t see or swim, they do have fantastic hearing, which allows them to locate their targets.

They’re fantastic characters in terms of movie monsters as it is easy to fear them. However, in a story like this, they’re quite clearly the villains and because of that, there are no redeemable factors about them.

9 Marina Man

In A Quiet Place II, it is mentioned that those who have survived this long are no longer worth saving. Marina Man is a great example of that. He’s the leader of a group that lives in the boats and looks to attack anybody who goes along that way.

While he doesn’t talk or truly showcase his personality, the fact he leads the group to attack Evelyn and Emmett says everything audiences need to know about him. He’s someone who has clearly changed due to the situation, and not for the better.

8 Roger

Roger is involved in the movie early on when the story takes people back to day one of the apocalypse. He is a simple grocery store owner, who is shown to be kind and trusting. He is somebody who clearly gets on with Lee, allowing him to head out without paying, knowing he will return.

He wrongly believes that the apocalypse is actually bomb-related, but he is someone who is obviously well-liked within the community. Roger can be seen praying later on when the alien creatures arrive, doing anything he can think of to survive.

7 Ronnie

Ronnie is one of the characters shown in the flashback at the start of the movie from when the alien creatures first hit Earth. He is a police officer, who gets to the area of panic quickly. While he doesn’t know what is happening himself, he tries his best to instill calm in others.

He ends up being face to face with the creature and actually protects the Abbott family by standing his ground and trying to shoot it down. This allows them to survive and while Ronnie isn’t as fortunate, his last act is one of sheer bravery.

6 Man On The Island

He might not be given a name, but the Man on the Island is a likable character. He has found peace on the island and is relaxed enough to provide wisdom and joy to others. However, when one of the creatures ends up on the island, he is able to leap into hero mode and do whatever it takes to try and destroy it.

He happily trusts Regan and Emmett’s plan, and he has no problem in making the creature follow him in order to allow others to survive. His own personality might not be shown as much as other characters, but he is clearly a brave man who is easy to like.

5 Lee Abbott

Lee Abbott is obviously not shown as much in this movie due to his death in the original. However, at the start of the story when things go back to the day the apocalypse began, Lee is once again involved and proves to be just as likable and passionate as he was in the first movie.

A proud father, who just wants to enjoy his son playing a baseball game, and a friend who is easy to talk to, it’s hard not to find Lee likable. He leaps into action as soon as the creatures arrive and does everything he can to protect his family, which is why he stands out as such a likable and dedicated character.

4 Marcus Abbott

Marcus Abbott is the son of Lee and Evelyn and someone who truly grows within this movie. He starts out nervous and scared, which isn’t helped by the fact his foot gets caught in a bear trap. However, as the story progresses, so does his confidence and ability to adapt and survive.

When he is tasked with looking after his baby sister all alone, this is when Marcus really steps up as a brother and shows his protective abilities. He even grows to be confident enough to stand up to the alien creatures alone, face-to-face, which is a testament to how he develops as a person.

3 Emmett

Emmett is the new lead character that is added to A Quiet Place Part II, with Cillian Murphy portraying the Abbott family friend. He’s someone who initially seems quite cold and set in his ways due to the loss of his family. However, he quickly showcases he is still kindhearted when he heads out to save Regan.

Emmett’s clever and that’s shown in the setup he’s created in order to survive. He’s someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to stay alive and his resourcefulness and dedication end up making him a likable addition to this franchise.

2 Evelyn Abbott

Once again, Emily Blunt is fantastic in A Quiet Place II, portraying the mother of the family who will do everything in her power to keep her children safe. She takes the reigns of the family in Lee’s absence and does a great job at protecting them, while also being calming presence as well.

Evelyn may push her children to their limits but does the same with herself. When oxygen is running low and medical supplies are needed, she has no problem heading out on her own to get them. Comfortable taking on the creatures as well, Evelyn is creative and hardworking, being an amazing mother that is easy to root for and get behind.

1 Regan Abbott

Regan Abbott is easily the most likable character within this franchise. She’s constantly thinking of trying to find a solution to solve the issue, just as her father did. Regan is the one to work out the radio signal, and she then has no problems setting off alone to try and save everybody.

She’s fearless and brave, while also being caring and kind to her siblings and family. While Regan does need help in her main mission, the fact she embarks upon it alone is one of the main reasons she is such a likable character, refusing to give up hope now they are close to eliminating the creatures forever.
