Ubisoft has extended the end date for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Ostara Festival from April 8 to April 15, following the in-game event’s recent downtime. The Ostara Festival went live in mid-March, bringing seasonal content to the experience in the form of new challenges, items, and Ravensthorpe-set quests. However, the patch that accompanied the event also ushered in game-breaking glitches and crashing issues that essentially locked plenty players out of the Ravensthorpe settlement.

As a result, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developers had no choice but to disable the festival in an attempt to mitigate further errors. Thus, the limited-time seasonal event experienced nearly a week of downtime before the development crew deployed Patch 1.2.0.1 on March 26. This particular title update most notably tackled the crashing problems, as well as restored the Ostara Festival’s settlement decorations and event quests.

Originally set to come to an end in two days on April 8, the open-world title’s Ostara Festival is receiving a weeklong extension. According to a post on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account, the seasonal event will now wrap up next week on Thursday, April 15. This will allow players more time to explore the content in full, given that the in-game festival’s lengthy absence significantly ate into its availability across all platforms.

There were fans who previously expressed concerns about not having enough time to experience all the Ostara Festival has on offer due to the downtime. It’s good, then, that Ubisoft plans on extending the festival past its initially scheduled end date. The extension also means players who’ve already finished the core game will get to enjoy new content for a while longer before the advent of Wrath of the Druids.

Ubisoft will unleash Wrath of the Druids at the end of this month on April 29, introducing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first paid DLC offering. The expansion will take players to Ireland, a vast area hiding secrets that Eivor must uncover about an ancient Druid cult. While exploring the new map, fans can also expect to encounter Gaelic mythology and build alliances with the nobleman of the region. The second expansion, The Siege of Paris, presently lacks a firm due date, but should arrive sometime this summer.
