Starting out as a wayward computer hacker named Skye, Chloe Bennet’s Daisy “Quake” Johnson has come a long way in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As she struggles to find her place in the world and with her found family, Daisy becomes a hero in her own right. But like every hero’s journey, mistakes are made along the way.

Daisy’s brash personality gets the best of her sometimes. Her feelings tend to cloud her judgment, and she is sometimes led astray by outside influences in her search for belonging. Here are 10 of the worst things Daisy Johson ever did, ranked.

10 Helped Rising Tide Member Escape SHIELD

Miles Lydon, Skye’s friend from her days with hacktivist organization Rising Tide, compromised a SHIELD target’s information. Coulson and his team intended to bring him in, but Skye tipped him off. She knew Lydon didn’t mean to cause damage for Chan Ho Yin, a.k.a. Scorch.

But it turned out her former friend was not the man she thought, as he sold Scorch’s information to the highest buyer. Lydon’s help in her search for her parents blinded Skye to his true intentions. She came clean to Coulson about joining SHIELD.

9 Sought Out Her Father Against Coulson’s Orders

When Skye realized that Grant Ward’s claims about her father were true, she tried to surrender herself to Raina to take her to him. But Melinda May stopped her, stating that Coulson had a plan. Skye believed Coulson’s condition from the Kree blood transfusion had compromised his judgment.

She snuck out of the SHIELD compound and searched for her father alone. The scene she found devastated her, and she confronted Coulson for the truth. Here he revealed he didn’t know what the symbols he drew meant.

8 Let Hive Take Her

Hive snuck up on Daisy during a mission against Gideon Malick and used her to infiltrate SHIELD. She betrayed her team and returned to Hive, high on the feeling of being one and belonging. This situation wasn’t really her fault, as Hive’s mind control worked much the same way an addiction does in a normal human.

It was hard to resist the intoxicating feeling Hive created in Inhumans. But ultimately, Daisy was still aware of her actions. Her mind was no longer hers, but she still made many decisions that followed.

7 Framed Lincoln as the Infected Inhuman

After possession by Hive, Daisy returns to the SHIELD base to retrieve a tool they need for their mission. But Coulson and the team soon realize an Inhuman is infected by Hive and working against them. As the base goes on lockdown, Daisy sets up evidence to make it look like Lincoln is the possessed agent.

She plays the part well, fighting him alongside the other Secret Warriors and SHIELD agents. After framing Lincoln, she still tries to get him to leave with her, but he refuses.

6 Went After Fitz and Radcliffe Under Hive’s Influence

Hive needed Dr. Holden Radcliffe’s skills to perform experiments with Inhumans, so Daisy did his bidding. To kidnap the doctor though, she first had to go through Fitz. Without question, she used her powers to choke him, saying she didn’t want to be saved.

She brought Radcliffe to Hive and forced him to perform experiments to turn all people into Inhumans. But later, despite her claims of not wanting to be rescued, Daisy is caught on a camera, a rookie mistake she’d never make unless she wanted to be found.

5 Sided With Jiaying Against SHIELD

In Skye’s defense, after a lifetime of searching for her family, it’s easy to see why she sided with her long-lost mother in the battle to keep the Inhuman sanctuary safe. She didn’t want to hurt her friends at SHIELD but she couldn’t let them kill Jiaying or other Inhumans.

But Skye didn’t know what the audience did at the time, which was that Jiaying wanted to incite a war with SHIELD to justify killing them. Caught between her two families, Skye didn’t know which way was up.

4 Tried to Kill Ward for Vengeance

After such an intimate betrayal, it’s easy to understand Skye’s anger toward Ward. During their encounter with HYDRA at the hidden temple in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ward saves her after her struggle with Daniel Whitehall and the Diviner.

Despite his good deed, Skye’s anger gets the best of her and she shoots him several times. She hasn’t forgotten his betrayal and evil actions. But trying to kill someone as a first resort for vengeance does not a hero make. Much to Skye’s regret, Ward is saved by his bullet-proof vest.

3 Held Simmons at Gunpoint

When Daisy went on the run to become the vigilante Quake, she left SHIELD and her friends behind. But whenever she got hurt or needed help, she turned to the team for help for her convenience. She refused their help otherwise and wouldn’t let them close.

When she discovered the Watchdogs had hacked SHIELD’s servers and used their data to hunt Inhumans, she sought Simmons’ help. But Jemma refused to betray SHIELD for Daisy’s rogue mission. That’s when Daisy pulled out her gun and forced Simmons to help.

2 Attacked Fitz for Restoring Her Powers

Desperate to seal the rift in the universe that created the Fear Dimension, Fitz restores Daisy’s powers against her will. He gives in to his evil alter ego from The Framework and violates her trust, removing the inhibitor that stops her Inhuman abilities.

Rightfully angry that Fitz defies her wishes in such an intimate manner, Daisy keeps Fitz locked in a cell after the incident. After a heated argument, Daisy uses her powers to fling Fitz across the room, accusing him of being a traitor to SHIELD.

1 Turned Vigilante as Quake

After Lincoln sacrificed his life to save her, Daisy felt the loss too deeply, as she had lost so many loved ones already. She went rogue from SHIELD and chased after the hate group the Watchdogs, an organization of radicals that wanted to kill all Inhumans.

Daisy “Quake” Johnson took down entire buildings to get to them without a second thought for collateral damage. She forced her former team at SHIELD to come after her and hunt her down. But her true purpose was to escape the pain of loss.
