Alaskan Bush People’s matriarch Ami Brown has thanked fans for their prayers. This comes after her husband Billy Brown passed away earlier in the month. Ami has been fighting her own health concerns, and fans are worried a broken heart could take her away.

The famed couple was married for 41 years, and viewers who watched the show could often feel their love for one another radiate through the television set. The Discovery Channel’s Alaskan Bush People has taught viewers that family was everything to the Brown family. The remote wilds of Alaska and Washington state have made the Wolf Pack strong and depend only on one another. Both Billy and Ami wished that their children would also raise their grandbabies on top of the mountain to keep the legacy going. Sadly, Billy didn’t live to see the day.

The entire Brown family with the exception of Bear Brown has remained silent about Billy’s death. But Ami is finally releasing a statement through her son’s Instagram thanking her supporters for their love and prayers through such a difficult time. Here is a screenshot of the post, which was uploaded to Bear’s private Instagram:

Bear made sure to pass on his mother’s words as she offered a hearty thank you to fans. Bear wrote, My Mom wanted me to personally thank everybody for all the support in this very hard time!” The middle son admitted that it had been the most challenging time for the entire family, with his mother suffering the most. But she was thankful for the condolences that came from around the world writing, “So thank you to all y’all guys from all over the world! It means a lot to us!!! Be sure to tell the people closest to you, how much you love them!”

Billy died on February 7 from a seizure as his health had been failing in the last few months. It was reported that they tried CPR on him, but he did not respond and died on the mountain top. Ami and Gabe Brown were taken to the police station, where it was confirmed he died from natural causes. Most of the Brown family have stayed silent, but Matt Brown, who was estranged from his family, recently posted a video saying he had reconciled his differences with his father. Fans of the Alaskan Bush People hope the family continues to film the show and continue on with Billy’s legacy.
