Bear Brown of Alaskan Bush People posts a touching tribute to his late father, Billy, one year after his death. On February 8, 2021, Bear confirmed that his father had passed away atop their mountain homestead.  He shared the sad news on Instagram, writing: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering from a seizure.” After hearing this, Alaskan Bush People viewers were beyond devastated.

Even though Billy was dealing with health problems in the months before his death, he made sure to live every day to the fullest. Billy loved nothing more than watching his family thrive. He became a legend for creating what he believed was the perfect lifestyle, which consisted of a home to call his own and the beauty of nature all around him. The entire Wolf Pack is still mourning the loss of the patriarch a year later. Bear has always been the most vocal, especially when it comes to sharing his feelings on social media.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In February 2022, Bear took to his Instagram to share a photo with Billy in a silhouette alongside a heartfelt tribute. Bear shared that even though it has been a year, the mourning process has not gotten any easier as the family still misses Billy every day. Bear also shared that nothing has eased the pain of losing his idol. The Alaskan Bush People star told his followers to “remember you never know when it’s the last time you’ll see someone you care about.  Supporters made sure to flock to the comment section to show support in Bear’s time of need.

Amidst the one-year anniversary, Bear also had good news to celebrate, including his recent vows to his long-time girlfriend, Raiven Brown. The entire Wolf Pack, with the exception of Matt Brown, turned up for the wedding, which looked to be held on North Star Ranch. The ceremony was said to be intimate, with a small guest list of trusted individuals. Some photos showed Bear, Raiven, and their son, River, with their backs to the camera, signifying they are now one united family unit. Bear even made the comment that his father would have been extremely proud of him.

Even though Billy was not physically at the wedding, Bear knew he was being looked over from above. The empty hole that Billy left behind within his family’s heart will never heal, but the Wolf Pack is trying its best to honor his legacy every day. The family was able to raise the ranch’s flag and even throw a repass for Billy a month after his death. Viewers are looking forward to another season of Alaskan Bush People and hope to see the family thriving while they learn to navigate a world without Billy in it.
