All DLC Pokémon Added To Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl After Launch

Along with the recently announced Mythical Pokémon Darkrai and Arceus, The Pokémon Company has added a total of four DLC monsters to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Fans can currently obtain Shaymin and could previously acquire a Manaphy Egg. These powerful creatures all debuted in Generation 4 by the means of special events. In Pokémon BDSP, these four Mythical Pokémon are distributed to players through a save bonus or through the Mystery Gift system.

Unlike the other three monsters, Manaphy can no longer be acquired in the game. Fans could receive the egg by accessing the Mystery Gift from November 19, 2021, to February 21, 2022. Players actually gained two Pokémon during the event. Trainers could not only hatch The Mythical Pokémon from the Manaphy Egg in Pokémon BDSP, but they could also obtain Phione by breeding Manaphy. While the previous event period has ended, there are three more extremely powerful monsters that fans can add to their Pokédex.

As of February 27, 2022, players can now catch Shaymin in Pokémon BDSP. To start the process of acquiring this floral Pokémon, trainers must receive Oak’s Letter via the Mystery Gift. Players also need to become the Sinnoh Champion and obtain the National Pokédex. Shaymin is encountered in a flower field near Victory Road, after talking to Professor Oak. From April 1 to April 30, 2022, players will be able to find Darkrai in the game. The Member Card will be distributed through the Mystery Gift and allow access to Canalave City’s Harbor Inn. There, the player will be transported to New Moon Island, the location of Darkrai in Pokémon BDSP. Based on how the event worked in Diamond and Pearl, players will need to obtain the Lunar Wing dropped by Cresselia upon the first encounter.

Diamond and Pearl’s Cut Azure Flute Event Is Coming To BDSP

Following the 1.3.0 update, players will be able to fight and capture the Mythical Pokémon Arceus. Trainers must first have entered the Hall of Fame, obtained the National Pokédex, and have a save file of Pokémon Legends: Arceus with all main quests completed. After returning to their room in Twinleaf Town, players will receive the Azure Flute. This instrument can be played at the Spear Pillar on top of Mt. Coronet to summon Arceus. This event was meant to appear in the base games but was later cut from Diamond and Pearl. Trainers should take this opportunity to add this powerful Pokémon to their arsenal.

Mythical Pokémon in BDSP are becoming more abundant as time goes on. Players already have access to Jirachi and Mew early on in their adventure, as long as they have save data from both the Let’s Go games as well as Pokémon Sword and Shield. Trainers can also collect a plethora of powerful legendary Pokémon. Fans will have to wait and see if The Pokémon Company has more plans to introduce additional DLC monsters into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in the future.
