June 2021 is stacked when it comes to new content in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players all of the new content coming this month. Pokemon Go continues to add new content for its players to enjoy. When a new month comes, this means a new Community Day, Spotlight Hours, Raid Battles, and brand new Pokemon joining the roster. With the Seasons of Legends coming to a close, the Season of Discovery will be taking its place. It can be a bit intimidating to have all of this information at once but it’s incredibly valuable to know what is coming next. Here is every event happening in June 2021 within Pokemon Go.

One of the biggest two changes coming to Pokemon Go are Shadow Zapdos and the new June Research Breakthrough encounters. Players will need to hunt down Giovanni and battle him to battle and save Shadow Zapdos all month. Starting on June 17th, Giovanni will have his Shadow Pokemon switched to something new. For the June Research Tasks, players will be rewarded with a Clamperl encounter and a free Remote Raid Pass. Those are the staples that will stay throughout the month. Here is what players can expect in June 2021.

  • Regi Raids: June 1st-June 17th: Regirock, Registeel, and Regice will appear in raid battles.
  • New Raids: June 17th-June 30th: A surprise legendary Pokemon will begin appearing in raids.
  • Dwebble Spotlight Hour: June 1st: Players can find tons of Dwebble for an hour and earn double the catch XP.
  • Abra Spotlight Hour: June 8th: Players can find tons of Abra for an hour and earn twice the candy for catching Pokemon.
  • Slowpoke Spotlight Hour: June 15th: Players can find a ton of Slowpoke and earn twice the candy for transferring Pokemon.
  • Swinub Spotlight Hour: June 22nd: Players can find a ton of Swinub and earn twice the candy for evolving Pokemon.
  • Aipom Spotlight Hour: June 29th: Players can find a ton of Aipom and earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokemon.
  • Gible Community Day: June 6th: Players will have the chance to find a Shiny Gible!
  • A Very Slow Discovery:June 8th to June 13th: An event centered around slow Pokemon like Galarian Slowpoke.
  • Solstice Event: June 17th-June 20th: Pokemon from the northern and southern hemispheres will be swapped.

The new legendary Pokemon that will release later in the month is the most exciting part. It will be interesting to see what Pokemon they choose next. Maybe it will be Zygarde since Kalos has had a massive presence throughout the year. Only time will tell.
