Say Yes to the Dress first premiered in 2007 on TLC. The original show takes place at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City with Randy Fenoli, the leading expert in the bridal industry. Say Yes was soon wildly successful and began to spawn spin-off shows, beginning with Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.

The Say Yes franchise reaches an international market that is still growing, not even including short snippets on the TLC Go app. There are 14 separate Say Yes spin-offs at this point, and that number may continue to grow.

14 SYTTD: Atlanta

Lori Allen and Monte Durham are the geniuses behind Bridals by Lori. The massive shop lies in the Sandy Springs neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia and is “the largest full service bridal salon in the nation.” Brides and debutantes from all over the country have pilgrimaged to Lori’s three-story facility.

The TLC series premiered in 2010, and its next season will air starting in January 2021. The most recent season available features reality star Jessa Seewald as she helps her sister-in-law find an appropriate gown.

13 SYTTD: Big Bliss

Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss premiered a few months after SYTTD: Atlanta, airing for three seasons from 2010 to 2011. The spin-off took place back at Kleinfeld’s with Randy and his team. This specific iteration of Say Yes is controversial because it centers plus-size brides who should have been better represented on the original Say Yes to the Dress, rather than being relegated to their own separate series, apart from the thin brides who are often featured on the main show.

12 SYTTD: Randy Knows Best

Randy Knows Best premiered in April of 2011 and ran until 2014. The show obviously focuses on Randy Fenoli, but it has a different feeling than the other spin-offs. In his three-season series, Randy shared his tricks of the trade in hopes of making life easier for every bride tuning in.

The episodes combined clips of Kleinfeld brides in different situations— trying to cut costs, planning for specific themes, etc.— with Randy directly addressing the camera and giving succinct dos and don’ts.

11 SYTTD: Bridesmaids

With the success of SYYTD: Atlanta, TLC set another Say Yes spin-off at Lori’s place. Just like it sounds, the Bridesmaids series was all about fitting the bridesmaids for the big day. This show was interesting because it put a spotlight on the difficulties of finding the perfect dresses for some of the most special friends in the bride’s life.

There was plenty of drama as Lori’s team, especially trusted consultant Brandon, worked to perfect the bridesmaid look for each group. After premiering in 2011, the series lasted for four seasons and ended in 2013.

10 Randy To The Rescue

Randy to the Rescue aired for just two seasons beginning in 2012. Randy took the show on the road to help selected brides try on the best gowns available. Each episode would take Randy to a new location in the United States, typically covering larger cities like Cincinnati, Boston, Nashville, Chicago, and LA. This geographical approach would lay the groundwork for a future Randy spin-off.

9 SYTTD: Canada

SYTTD: Canada premiered in 2015, making it the first international rendition of the franchise. It lasted for two seasons. The show was held in Amanda-Lina’s Sposa boutique in Ontario, which is owned by Sam Pollari. The show featured a stylist named Joseph Spencer and a full team of professional consultants. The series is also sometimes known as Say Yes to the Dress: Northern Edition.

8 SYTTD: UK

The UK version of Say Yes to the Dress was the franchise’s first European series, premiering in 2016 and still currently airing. The show’s atmosphere is defined by Confetti & Lace, a bridal institution in Essex. The store is owned by David Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana’s wedding gown. The series also features designer Christian Dando, as well as a skilled staff.

7 SYTTD: Benelux

Benelux is formed by Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, but they still decided to let American Randy Fenoli come help out their brides! The series premiered in 2016 and follows Dutch and Flemish brides who are in search of the perfect dress. Details on this international series are difficult to track down in America, but the bridal boutique for the show appears to be Koonings: The Bridal Place in the Netherlands.

6 SYTTD: Australia

SYTTD: Australia followed with its 2016 premiere. The Aussie series takes place at Brides of Sydney with Adam Dixon, a sensitive bridal expert with a warm and inviting staff. Adam deals with the same complexities in the bridal business as his American counterparts, and the Sydney shop is a nice change for fans who love watching participants go wedding dress shopping.

5 SYTTD: Asia

Southeast Asia’s take on Say Yes premiered in 2017 and was hosted by Malaysian television professional Daphne Iking and Malaysian designer Jovian Mandagie. The series only lasted for one season, and it featured eighteen brides. They go for all kinds of stunning looks, from a princess ball gown to a golden dress to a traditional Cheongsam (which originated in Shanghai in the 1920s).

4 Say Yes: Wedding SOS

Say Yes: Wedding SOS was a short-lived series in 2018, hosted by George Kotsiopoulos. The goal (according to TLC) was for each couple to “meet each other at the altar with a new look, and most importantly, renewed confidence as they head off into wedded bliss.” In that respect, it seems like a cross between Say Yes to the Dress and What Not to Wear.

3 Say Yes To The Nest

Say Yes to the Nest was a 2019 synergistic attempt between TLC and HGTV. This spin-off seems to have mimicked a brief 2016 special called Say Yes to the Address in that it focused on finding a home, not on securing a bridal ensemble.

Say Yes to the Nest followed multiple couples, the first of which were newlyweds settling down in Las Vegas with a million-dollar budget.

2 SYTTD: America

SYTTD: America is a special project featuring Randy Fenoli and 52 couples representing all fifty states as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Though only ten of the couples are prominently featured, every couple that signed up got quite the prize: a fabulous wedding dress and shopping experience at Kleinfeld, an all-expenses paid New York trip, and a massive wedding right in Central Park, officiated by Randy. The ten-part series aired in 2020.

1 SYTTD: England/Lancashire

Say Yes to the Dress: England premiered in January 2020 according to the TLC website, but it appears to have begun slightly earlier than that in its native country (as SYTTD: Lancashire). The action of the show occurs at Ava Rose Hamilton Bridal Couture in Lancashire. Author and stylist Gok Wan is the host and consultant on the show who navigates all the drama and tears in efforts to bring out the best look in each bride.
