FX released the first poster for Impeachment: American Crime Story, providing the first look at Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky. Produced by Ryan Murphy, the anthology crime series debuted in 2016 and tackled the events surrounding the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Toting an all-star cast, season 1 was a critical success and garnered numerous accolades and praise for its accurate portrayal of the titular murder trial. Continuing to highlight famous crimes from the ‘90s, season 2 focused on the assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace.

Last year, FX announced the third installment of American Crime Story would zero in on the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, as told from Lewsinky’s point of view. Despite numerous production delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, Impeachment continued to round out its cast with all-star names slated to portray the real-life figures involved in the scandal that shocked the nation. These include Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Edie Falco as Hillary Clinton, and Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky. Now, the first look at Feldstein as the former White House intern has been unveiled.

FX has released the first poster for Impeachment: American Crime Story, which offers a glimpse at Feldstein in the role of Monica Lewinsky. The key art poster for Impeachment confirms the series will premiere on September 7 and shows Feldstein donning Lewsiny’s signature style blue coat and beret while looking up at the White House. As it stands, Impeachment intends to view the scrutinized events of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal from Lewsinky’s lens, which will put Monica, Linda Tripp (Paulson), and Paula Jones (Annaleigh Ashford) more front and center than the Clintons. Indeed, Impeachment may shed new light on the notorious scandal, as Lewinsky is a co-producer on the season and was heavily involved in each script. For now, the first look at Feldstein as a young Lewsinky has furthered the anticipation for the official Impeachment: American Crime Story trailer.

Based on Jeffrey Tobin’s book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President, Impeachment will be a great platform to showcase the attached cast’s talents. Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky has been one of the most anticipated works of her career. Given Feldstein’s ability to inhabit her roles while bringing fresh insight to her scenes, she was the ideal choice to tackle the complex figure of Monica Lewinsky. Audiences will have to tune in on September 7 to see the saga of the Clinton presidency scandal unfold in Impeachment: American Crime Story.
