A new poster has been released for American Horror Story season 10. The horror anthology was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, which has been a huge hit for FX. Each season of the show incorporates new stakes, characters, and settings, although Murphy often invites actors from previous seasons back to play the new roles. Season 9 was subtitled 1984 and it took place at a summer camp notorious for a string of murders.

Season 10 is subtitled Double Feature and will be divided into two separate stories. The two segments include “Red Tide” and “Death Valley,” which take place “by the sea” and “by the sand,” as previous promotions have been advertising. The actors that are set to return from previous seasons include Frances Conroy, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, Finn Wittrock, Denis O’Hare, Matt Bomer, and John Carroll Lynch. Meanwhile, Macaulay Culkin and Neal McDonough will be featured in their first roles in the series.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The American Horror Story Instagram account shared the newest poster for season 10. Below its title, it features a fight between an alien and a siren. The setting in the poster displays both land and sea, as the show has been teasing for quite some time. It mentions in the corners of the poster that in addition to the August 25th release date on FX, new episodes can also be seen the next day on FX on Hulu. See below for a closer look at the poster:

While season 10 was meant to premiere at the end of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic ultimately pushed back the dates of production and the release date. FX has been very active in promoting the new double feature season. However, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as the show has been a top performer for the cable network. Most recently, they premiered American Horror Stories on July 15, where every episode is a self-contained part of the anthology format.

All of the marketing materials for American Horror Story: Double Feature have been highlighting the show’s theme of duality. However, these promotional materials have been becoming increasingly silly. The new one is certainly no exception to that. However, only time will tell if the two-part season will manage to hit its mark. With the cast of American Horror Story including some familiar faces and newcomers, the show plans on continuing what it has been setting out to do since its earlier seasons. On August 25, audiences will get to see how the tenth season of American Horror Story will execute its land and sea duality.
