The America’s Got Talent judges have seen quick change acts in the past, but none like magician Léa Kyle, and we’re here to share information about her background. She surely impressed the judging panel but especially dazzled the fashion queen herself, Heidi Klum, who decided that Léa deserved to go straight to the live shows. This magician brought a series of outfits to the stage and changed her attire multiple times, right before the judges’ eyes.

With an act set to “Swish Swish” and “Part of Me” by Katy Perry, Léa magically changed her clothes behind a curtain, under a sprinkle of confetti, without using her hands. In the blink of an eye, Léa somehow managed to make a short purple dress fly from a hanger onto her body. “To see the outfit fly in thin air from the hanger to you, it’s magic and your presentation is beautiful,” Howie told her. Léa came to America’s Got Talent in the hopes that doing the show could change her life. She said that her biggest dream is to have her own show in Las Vegas. Having gotten the Golden Buzzer like Jimmie Herrod, she is one step closer to her dream.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Léa comes from Bordeaux, France. She got into magic through her boyfriend Florian Sainvet, who competed on America’s Got Talent season 15. He was eliminated during Judge Cuts. One day, he asked her to perform with him and despite being shy, she did so. After discovering the thrill of being in front of an audience, she wanted to continue. She combined her passion for fashion with performing. Because of the sewing skills she acquired through her Haute Couture fashion training, she is able to make all of her outfits for her quick-change act.

She was featured on France’s Got Talent last year, like magician Klek Entos, who is also competing this season. The 25-year-old had previously performed on Penn and Teller: Fool Us, where her quick-change performance deceived magicians and won her the Fool Us trophy. However, her first magic contest was during the 2018 Villebarou International Festival, where she came in 1st place. From that day on, she stopped her job as a beautician and became a professional magician. The following year, she was chosen to compete in the French Magic Championships, where she won first place in general magic, as well as the title of French Champion Napoule. In 2020, she was gifted with a Mandrake d’Or, a renowned prize in the magic world.

On Instagram, she described her appearance as incredible, saying, “I would never imagine doing America’s Got Talent one day and having the Golden Buzzer. It’s just crazy.” Her audition has gone viral on YouTube, like Nightbirde’s “It’s Ok”. The magician’s audition has gotten over 4 million views. Comments were positive, such as: “Very cool mix of magic, fashion and performance” and “Not only is she an amazing performer, but she seems to be a wonderful person too.” There were multiple commenters saying that they slowed the video down and still couldn’t understand Léa’s tricks. Léa is set to return for the live shows so we can expect to see more of her glitzy outfits later this summer.
