Plenty of new and returning things are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Sept. 2021, bringing a plethora of content for all villagers to enjoy. These are all events and critters that will be available in the Northern Hemisphere, but only some events will be available in the Southern Hemisphere.

The September 2021 update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is part of the larger 1.12 release. Some of these will not be listed here, as they occur later in both October and November updates. The Fall season in Animal Crossing begins September 1 and ends on “Turkey Day” – Nov. 25.

Here are all the events and their items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that will be available through September 20201:

  • Grape Harvest Festival – Begins Sept. 1 and ends Sept. 30, includes the Grap-Harvest Basket (Backpack)
  • Moon-Viewing Day – Begins Sept. 12 and ends Sept 21, includes Tsukimi Dango, Moon Cakes, and Moon Rug (Items)
  • Chuseok – Begins Sept. 12 and ends Sept. 21, includes Songpyeon (Item)
  • Bug Off 2021 – Begins Sept. 25 and runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.

Everything New in Animal Crossing September 2021

The Grape Harvest festival is a returning celebration from year one of Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall events, inspired by European festivities in Germany, Spain, France, and Italy. The Grape-Harvest Basket is available through the Nook Shopping service. Inspired by the Japanese Tsukimi holiday, Moon-Viewing Day makes a return. Tsukimi Dango and Moon Cakes are two new items being brought through the Sept. update, while the Moon Rug is a returning item. Chuseok is a brand new event being brought into the Animal Crossing series, an autumn-inspired event by the same-name holiday celebrated in South Korea. Songpyeon is a new item as well. All items are available in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Acorn DIY recipes are limited-time items that are available from the beginning of fall until Dec. 10. Here are all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons DIY recipes available in the Northern Hemisphere starting Sept. 1:
