Bunny Day 2021 is officially here, and while this first repeat event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons bears much similarity to last year’s festivities, there are a few new features and collectibles exclusive to the 2021 iteration. Animal Crossing: New Horizons had a great first year, but one of the dimmer spots for fans was Bunny Day, which received quite a bit of criticism for being intrusive and somewhat annoying to navigate, particularly when it came to the Egg resources. Nintendo brought the event back, making a few changes to the Egg hunt mechanic to prevent players from constantly pulling so many Eggs when searching for other materials. Additionally, to make the event fun for those who experienced it last year, developers added new, exclusive 2021 items to the Bunny Day furniture set.

Much of the Bunny Day furniture items are DIY recipes players must find by popping balloons, finding messages in bottles, picking up a certain number of each kind of Egg, and talking to Zipper and resident villagers. However, the five new 2021 items are not DIYs and instead must be purchased using bells. Players will only have a limited time to collect them all before the finale on April 4. Here’s how to get all the new Bunny Day 2021 furniture items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

How to Purchase 2021 Bunny Day Exclusives in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Of the 23 limited-time items in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day set, five are only available as purchases from an upgraded Nook’s Cranny. Like other items for sale, players can spend bells to collect these new seasonal goodies. Only one will be available in the seasonal slot per day of the event, so players should make sure to check back daily if they want to collect all five.

The new 2021 Bunny Day items and their costs appear below:

  • Bunny Day Candy: 1,300 Bells
  • Bunny Day Garden Flag: 1,500 Bells
  • Bunny Day Topiary: 2,000 Bells
  • Bunny Day Planter Box: 2,300 Bells
  • Bunny Day Tree: 3,800 Bells

To get the new items, players need to have downloaded free update 1.9.0 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is available now.

The rest of the items in the set are DIY recipes players can find in Egg balloon presents, Egg bottles that wash up on the beach, and by talking to various villagers. They all require different kinds of Eggs to craft. From March 28 to April 4, fans will be able to find and gather six types of Bunny Day Egg around their island: Earth, Stone, Leaf, Wood, Sky, and Water. Some of these are easier to find than others, and players will have better luck hunting by spending Nook Miles for a Nook Miles Ticket and taking a mystery island tour.

As players collect a number of Eggs of each type, they will also unlock various Egg-themed costumes to craft and wear during the Bunny Day festivities on April 4. While these are separate from the Bunny Day set, fans of collecting everything Animal Crossing: New Horizons has to offer will want to be sure to find and craft these recipes as well before they are gone for the year.
