The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Dream Island has become a Super Mario level as part of the ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations for the latter franchise. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is in the midst of celebrating the Nintendo mascot with a slew of in-game items, including the ACNH Warp Pipes that have opened up several exciting new design options for the game’s veteran island builders.

The Animal Crossing Super Mario furniture has been present in the game since its 1.8.0 update, which arrived at the beginning of the month and ushered in several themed items that have been a hit with fans of the two Nintendo franchises crossing over with each other. While the ACNH Warp Pipes have been the standout when it comes to functionality, fans have also been enjoying the game’s many nods to aesthetic designs within the Super Mario universe, with many obvious ones blending into more standard Animal Crossing settings quite nicely. On top of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Super Mario content, the game has also introduced a well-received item celebrating Pi Day, and has several other updates planned for March and beyond.

The decision to turn the official Nintendo Animal Crossing: New Horizons Dream Island into a Mario-themed level was announced by Nintendo via the 35th anniversary My Nintendo missions. The mission simply asks players to visit the Dream Island between the dates of March 9 and March 24, with a cut-off time of 7:59am PT on the last day. The mission provides the Dream Address, which is [DA-6382-1459-4417], and went live yesterday. Players who complete this particular mission will receive credit for doing so within seven days of the Super Mario 35th anniversary My Nintendo missions ending.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Dream Island has been overhauled to better suit the Mario celebrations, as it now features a Mario level that has built in a small course that ends with the traditional flagpole to signal its end. It’s another nice touch in a series of them from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons team, which has embraced the Super Mario crossover in a way that’s created some really special memories for fans of both properties.
