Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives power to the players with its extensive DIY system, allowing the creation of an ever-increasing amount of items and knickknacks. Unfortunately, the DIY system has its limits, and not everything can be crafted. Another large amount of items must be collected from trees after shaking them, balloons flying across the sky with presents, gifts from other islanders, or purchased then stored for later intended usage. For all those items that must be acquired with bells, purchasing them at Nook’s Cranny or the Nook Stop are the available options.

The Nook Stop is the go-to multi-purpose terminal on every player’s island. Whether it’s redeeming nook miles, checking accounts, or shopping, the Nook Stop will have players stopping by every day a handful of times. Fortunately, there’s at least one thing players can change and that’s being able to shop from anywhere on the island considering accessing the store occurs more often than using any of the other services further down the line. Here’s how to acquire that feature.

How to Unlock the Nook shopping App

Home to the nook miles, DIY, custom designs, and other apps, player’s cellphones can also download the nook shopping app instead of making their way to Tom Nook and Isabelle to access the Nook Stop. To access the Nook shopping app, players have to have made a grand total of 100 purchases from nook shopping for it to become available on their cell phones. Shopping is limited to 5 orders a day so expect to spend at least two and half weeks spending thousands of bells on things that might never see the outside of storage, in order to make that shopping just a little more convenient. So make sure to keep selling and earning bells to scratch that spendthrift itch every once in a while from any location.

Progress may be observed in the nook miles app where a bar for the related achievement will constantly update for every purchase made. The Nook shop can have a lot of interesting items available such as lanterns, chairs, and other decorative things to spice up the island and player’s homes. Making the entire island burst with character is the overall goal of the game, so being able to shop at any position on the island for any sudden spur of inspiration is very convenient. Players may check the listings at any point in time but cannot make any purchases while on another player’s island which kinda sucks but would probably be the same as ordering a package, putting someone else’s home address, and hoping it still gets to it’s original, intended location. Enjoy shopping on the fly!
