Animal Crossing Player Hosts A Literal Rock Concert

An ingenious Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has hosted a literal rock concert using various in-game rocks and stones. The Nintendo title offers lots of ways to bring creative Animal Crossing island designs to life, with its thriving community consistently finding and sharing new design tips and ideas for other players.

Animal Crossing gives fans a lot of freedom when it comes to personalizing their islands. Once the game has been completed, players are able to access design tools including Waterscaping and Cliff Construction permits, allowing the core shape of the island to be carved out to almost anything a designer chooses. As well as terraforming tools, Animal Crossing also features a catalog of items, a custom design portal, and naturally occurring features such as trees, weeds, and rocks. All of these can be used to make unforgettable Animal Crossing builds ranging from rock gardens to restaurants.

AC fan animalcrossingOG1994 took to Reddit to share their innovative take on the typical rock garden with a build sure to appeal to pun fans. Asking players if they’d seen a rock concert, the clever Animal Crossing builder revealed a music stage set created using custom flooring, wall panels, spotlights, and rope fencing. Both the band and the audience are made of rocks, some being the natural rocks formed in-game which can be a source of Bells, bugs, and crafting supplies, while others are decorative rock items. The completed build features a number of instruments including drums and guitars, with the lead singer of the rock band taking center stage with a microphone.

While it’s not the typical rock garden players are used to seeing in the game, the user’s Animal Crossing rock concert is certainly one of the most unique. The build includes extra details which are easy to miss, including custom signs advertising the concert, and even a laptop should the live music need any mixing. Unfortunately, it seems as though the special musical event is for rocks only, with no chairs for Animal Crossing island villagers.

The literal rock concert is improved by the game’s latest update, which was introduced on July 27 and welcomed fireworks shows back into Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the summer. Fireworks first appeared in ACNH last year as a limited-time celebration, and just like last year, the colorful celebratory shows won’t be around forever. Fireworks shows will be running throughout the month of August only, and can be seen in the game every Sunday from 7pm local time. Players can also try their hand at winning new seasonal items thanks to Redd’s Raffle, which has also returned in the new Animal Crossing update.
