Animal Crossing: New Horizons has plenty of ways for villagers to get rich, but no method works as well as finding, buying, and selling Turnips. Turnips and their mechanics are the Animal Crossing version of the Stock Market, appropriately named the “Stalk Market” by the community. However, this opportunity only comes around once every Sunday during a limited window of time, so anyone who is trying to make as many bells as possible quickly should be prepared.

Like stocks, Turnip prices fluctuate and can actually cost players Bells if they aren’t sold correctly. Two major things to know about Turnips in Animal Crossing are they rot after a week of not being sold, and they cannot be stored away like other items. If someone doesn’t have the inventory space to hold them, the only thing they can do is drop the Turnips on the ground.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Every Sunday from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Animal Crossing, a warthog character named Daisy Mae will wander around the Island with Turnips on her head. Daisy Mae only sells Turnips at prices ranging from 90 to 110 bells. Only stacks of 10 can be held at a time per inventory slot, but as long as Daisy is there, players can purchase more Turnips. After Daisy Mae leaves, speak with Timmy and Tommy at Nook’s Cranny to see what their prices are for buying Turnips.

How to Find, Buy, & Sell Turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Timmy and Tommy’s Turnip prices change twice a day in Animal Crossing, once in the morning and once after 12 p.m. Unlike Daisy Mae’s prices, Timmy and Tommy can offer as little as 15 Bells or as many as 650 Bells for the Turnips. Similar to the Stock Market, holding for too long may result in a missed opportunity for the highest prices that week, and selling too early could result in missed out profits. Of course, the major difference is that the Turnips will go bad after a week of holding on to them.

If Timmy and Tommy seem to have low buying prices every time they change, it’s best to speak with a friend to see what their prices are. Even though Animal Crossing is connected to the Internet, everyone’s Turnip prices are different. Players can fly to a friend’s Island if they have high Turnip prices and sell them there. As a last resort, players can sell the Turnips for as close to the purchasing price as possible to prevent any loss of Bells.
