Festivities for Bunny Day 2021 have already begun in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and with them arrive the event’s host, Zipper T. Bunny. Bunny Day is the first repeat event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which launched just a little over one year ago. It was also one of the most hated events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons last year, receiving criticism for the incredibly frequent, almost intrusive spawn rate of Bunny Day Eggs, which made it difficult or impossible for players to gather regular materials. Players have also often criticized the design of Zipper T. Bunny, suggesting he is one of the scariest-looking Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters. No matter how fans feel about his appearance, Zipper is incredibly important to the Bunny Day event, and players should make a point to talk to him.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

From March 28 to the big Bunny Day event finale on April 4, Zipper will appear on a player’s island in a random location. Players can speak to him to get their first Bunny Day DIY recipe, if they did not participate in the event last year. While most of the other DIY recipes come from balloons, messages in a bottle, and other villagers, Zipper has a few more he will give to players once they reach certain Bunny Day event milestones. He can even trade players for Eggs they need to finish crafting their full Bunny Day item and clothing collections. Here’s how to find Zipper for Bunny Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and what he does for players.

How to Make Zipper Visit the Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The first time players begin the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day event from March 28 to April 4, Zipper will appear somewhere on the island. Players can tell if he has arrived when Isabelle announces the Bunny Day celebration. Zipper’s spawn location this first time is usually random, so players may need to do some searching before they can talk to him.

The first time players talk to Zipper, he will explain the Bunny Day event, including how to find the six kinds of hidden Eggs around the island for DIY recipes. If players did not participate in Bunny Day last year, they will also receive their first limited-time DIY recipe during this interaction, the Bunny Day Bed.

After the first interaction, players will be able to find Zipper near Resident Services should they want to talk to him again. They should stop by to see him once they have crafted all 15 of the following Bunny Day DIY recipes:

  • Bunny Day Bag
  • Bunny Day Crown
  • Bunny Day Fence
  • Bunny Day Festive Balloons
  • Bunny Day Flooring
  • Bunny Day Lamp
  • Bunny Day Merry Balloons
  • Bunny Day Rug
  • Bunny Day Stool
  • Bunny Day Table
  • Bunny Day Vanity
  • Bunny Day Wall
  • Bunny Day Wall Clock
  • Bunny Day Wardrobe
  • Bunny Day Wreath

Zipper will award players with the recipe for the Wobbling Zipper Toy. After players craft this recipe, they should find him again to receive the DIY recipe for the Bunny Day Wand, which works the same way as the other Wands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to quickly change outfits while out and about. Talking to Zipper is the only way to get this DIY recipe.

Finally, players should meet Zipper at Resident Services on Bunny Day, which coincides with Easter on April 4. He will offer them the final DIY recipe to complete the Bunny Day furniture set, the Bunny Day Arch. For players who have already collected all the Bunny Day items from last year, he will offer a selection of Eggs instead.

On April 4, players will be able to trade Zipper any Eggs they don’t need for ones they do need to finish their DIYs. Once the event is over, players will no longer be able to collect Eggs, so this is a good way to make sure they can complete their set before time runs out.
