An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan just built and beautiful and fitting home for their octopus villager, Marina. Thanks to the new ACNH Happy Home Paradise DLC, players are able to remodel homes for villagers and patrons using different build materials, items, and themes. The DLC allows players to further express their creativity thanks to the multiple customization options it added.

When Animal Crossing: New Horizons first launched, customization options stopped at the player’s home and the island itself. The villagers who had homes on the island would decorate the interior themselves, and many players felt as though the choices didn’t fit the personality of the villagers very well. With the introduction of the Happy Home Paradise DLC, fans can gift their favorite Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers their dream homes and design them to fit their personalities more exactly.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Reddit user BarnacleNew5969 recently shared their take on the perfect home for Marina, the adorable pink octopus villager. In the video shared on Reddit, BarnacleNew5969 shows the living room area that looks like it is completely underwater. There are bubbles floating around the home and fish swimming around the walls. The floors also look like water and, as noted by the original poster in the comments, thanks to the polishing ability used on walls, the room shimmers to create the perfect Animal Crossing underwater paradise look. There are tropical paradise elements used throughout the room as well, like the seashell furniture, a tropical cocktail, and a shell fountain as soon as the player walks into the room.

BarnacleNew5969 mentioned that they were also working on making Marina’s upstairs into an underwater oasis but needed to do more work to make it just like their vision. They also mentioned that Marina was not a villager on their island, but a villager found on the Paradise Planning beach. With the Happy Home Paradise DLC installed, players can use any item in the Nook Catalog and build whatever they want as long as it fits the villager’s theme and specific item requests. Thanks to the many customization options available, players have taken to designing elaborate spaces, including recreating iconic television scenes in their Animal Crossing villagers’ homes.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC arrived after a long stretch without new content, when many fans were starting to tire of the game. Thanks to Happy Home Paradise, fans are given much more to do and many more ways to express themselves. BarnacleNew5969’s home design for Marina demonstrates the amount of creativity on display in the community thanks to the new items and design options players can access in Happy Home Paradise. All of this strongly suggests that Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ popularity will continue to grow as fans continue to think of and share impressive ways to customize their villagers’ homes.
