Bethesda’s highly anticipated sci-fi roleplaying game, Starfield, has seen another unconfirmed leak surface online, this time a crisper-than-ever screenshot that shows the game’s impressive lighting in a sci-fi interior. Buzz surrounding the space-themed RPG has grown since Starfield‘s appearance at E3 2021 was rumored to headline among several other hot Xbox Game Studios properties. Starfield will likely be showcased during the June gaming event, especially with Microsoft’s current push for new exclusive IPs.

Starfield was officially announced during Bethesda’s E3 2018 showcase alongside The Elder Scrolls VI, and gamers have been chomping at the bit to get a new look at the company’s next RPG. So far, though, there has been little to no official information detailing what it will be about, when it will release, or where Starfield will be set. Though certain information has been reportedly leaked over the last few years, almost nothing has been confirmed by Bethesda. Speculation suggests that the game will be partly set in Earth’s solar system and that there will be Bethesda’s signature first-person mode, but such speculation is just that and little more without more substantial proof.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Some of the most concrete details so far have come from a series very convincing screenshots from an early build of the game, and a new one has made its way online. Twitter user and leaker of past Starfield images SkullziTV posted what they claim to be another Starfield screenshot. The environment-focused still shows more of what appears to be a spaceship or space station interior and potentially demonstrates the game’s lighting and shadows, which look quite impressive at a glance.

The graphics unveiled in the supposed Starfield leak are handsome, especially for a Bethesda game. Though it isn’t confirmed that the screenshot is actually from Starfield, the art style, graphics, and atmosphere of the image is consistent with other leaked images from an alleged 2018 build of the title. The details on the wall seem futuristic but grounded, and obviously connected to the sci-fi theme. It’s possible that this more impressive screenshot originates from a more recent Starfield build than previous leaked materials, which could indicate the game’s visuals have gotten more polished since earlier internal showings.

Starfield leaks will probably continue to flood Twitter and headlines as E3 2021 nears. With only about a month away until the convention’s all-digital return, it will hopefully soon become clear what can be expected of it and if Starfielddelay rumors hold water. The latest leaked screenshot is exciting fans as it makes its way around gaming communities online, especially those expecting the seemingly unique science fiction experience to live up to its growing hype.
