Ansel Elgort has been our favorite heartthrob ever since he took the role of Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars. This young actor is just getting his start in Hollywood, and he’s only been part of the scene since 2013. Still, we absolutely love him, and did you know he can sing? If you don’t believe us, hit him up on Spotify. If you’re as obsessed with this young man as much as we are, you’ve probably seen all of his films.

In case you’re wondering if you have, we made a list. This actor is known for young adult films, so when you’re seeking an Ansel fill, here are his 10 best films, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Look out for this brilliant man in West Side Story, too, coming out in 2020.

10 Allegiant (2016) – 11%

Ansel Elgort first made waves in Hollywood through the Divergent series, where he starred alongside the amazing Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Jeff Daniels, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, and many, many more. With this a-list cast, Allegiant is the third film of this dystopian series. If you haven’t seen the other two, we won’t spoil it, but this teenage action-adventure is another enthralling series in a dystopian world. If you want action, this stellar cast, and a dramatic romance adventure, literally look no further than this film. Clearly, an 11% isn’t much to brag about, but we still find them entertaining.

9 The Goldfinch (2019) – 24%

This is Ansel’s newest project. Based on the famous novel, this film follows a New York boy who is raised by a wealthy family after his mother is killed during during a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Starring alongside Nicole Kidman, this drama brings one of the most classic books of our generation to life.

Sure, a 24% is also not super impressive, but you know you have to watch it if you loved the book. Also, Kidman and Elgort are always phenomenal, and this film is still heart-wrenching and heartfelt.

8 Insurgent (2015) – 28%

This is the sequel of this dystopian series. In this film, tensions rise in society, and Tris finds herself at odds with the powerful alliance of her world. This film has the same stellar cast, but this time with a short-haired and badass Shailene Woodley. This movie did better than the third, which isn’t surprising for a sequel. So, again, if you want another action-adventure, here you go. Also, this one has Kate Winslet, so can you really resist it now?

7 Men, Women & Children (2014) – 33%

This comedy-drama follows a group of high school students and their parents. As the Internet becomes a powerful force, these individuals try to navigate their relationships, love-life, and self-image amidst the cyber chaos. With Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Rosemarie DeWitt, Judy Greer, Emma Thompson, Timothee Chalamet, and our main man Ansel Elgort, this movie is pretty underrated actually. Sure, it only got a 33%, and it sounds pretty cliche, but hey, the cast is pretty good.

6 Divergent (2014) – 42%

So we finally come across the first part of this series. Based on the best-selling series, this movie surrounds a world in a futuristic, dystopian world. Society is divided into factions, and the group of “Divergents” are unlike any other. Tris (Shailene Woodley) finds herself in this category, and she seeks out why this faction is seen as dangerous, and why the society is plotting to destroy them all.

Ansel Elgort plays Tris’s brother, which, we know is a bit weird for all TFIOS lovers. Again, this movie has all the action and adventure you need and a phenomenal cast. Since this one did the best, we think you should at least give this one (the first of the series) a go.

5 Carrie (2013) – 50%

We’ve all seen the original version of this horror flick, right? Well, they remade it in 2013, starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore. Ansel Elgort has a secondary role, and plays Tommy Ross. We all know the story of Carrie – a high school girl outcasted by her classmates and sheltered by her overbearing and religious mother. Of course, Carrie discovers she has telekinetic powers, and things definitely get spooky at senior prom. If you haven’t seen it, we suggest it for a mediocre horror flick with a pretty decent cast.

4 Paper Towns (2015) – 57%

Ansel Elgort has a very, very small cameo in this film, but we had to include it on the list. We all know Ansel Elgort starred in John Green’s first film adaptation for The Fault in Our Stars, but did you catch him in this movie? The stars are Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff (who is also a co-star in TFIOS). However, you’ll catch Ansel as a gas station attendant on their road trip. If you missed it the first time, we know you’ll go back right now. Tune in to this teenage comedy-drama for a mystery adventure. It’s quirky and cute, and we definitely recommend it.

3 Jonathan (2018) – 65%

This movie is pretty underrated, but a 65% isn’t bad. This sci-fi drama centers around Jonathan (Ansel Elgort), whose life seems to be on a pretty normal routine. He goes to work, goes home, goes to sleep. However, he has a brother, and they share the same body.

John gets the night shift, Jonathan gets the day shift. As you could probably imagine, things get tricky when John gets a girlfriend, and Jonathan decides he wants more. This movie is kind of weird, but hey, it didn’t do so bad with the critics.

2 The Fault in Our Stars (2014) – 81%

We’ve all seen this teenage romance drama, right? If you haven’t, you’re lying, and if you didn’t cry during it, you’re also lying. This movie, a John Green novel film adaptation, centers around two teenage cancer patients. They take a journey of a lifetime to meet their favorite author (Willem Dafoe) in Amsterdam. This movie is absolutely relatable, hilarious, and devastating. Ansel Elgort stars alongside Shailene Woodley, and we honestly can’t praise this movie enough, especially for a teen drama. Seriously, it’s beautiful, poetic, and totally genuine. Tune in for a good laugh and a good cry. Or, go re-watch it, right now.

1 Baby Driver (2017) – 93%

It’s not surprising that this action-crime drama takes the #1 spot on this list. This film was nominated for 3 Academy Awards and stars Ansel Elgort alongside Jon Bernthal, Jon Hamm, Lily James, Kevin Spacey, and Jamie Foxx. This movie tells the story of Baby – a quiet, music-loving young man who is coerced into being a getaway driver by a crime boss. This movie is full of action, stellar driving, and a badass soundtrack. It’s the perfect amount of Hollywood cheese and is absolutely stunning to watch. Seriously, this movie is for everyone, and Ansel is phenomenal.
