With every new season of Apex Legends, new mechanics change the game up in interesting ways. In the past, this has included game modes, weapons, characters, and even changes to the game’s map. Additions to Apex Legends have the possibility to improve the game considerably and make things more fun for new and returning players alike.

With Season 5 Apex Legends has introduced the mysterious new charging towers to the map. These towers have popped up everywhere seemingly overnight, and players who use them can get a full boost to their Ultimate Ability. Charge Towers are an easy way to use Ultimate Abilities early in a match or use them again very quickly. This guide will help players track the Charge Towers down and use them effectively.

Apex Legends: How to Use Charge Towers

If players track down a Charge Tower during a match they will want to use one for a quick boost. Once a tower is used, the players’ Ultimate Ability will be charged up all the way and be capable of being used immediately. The best time possible to use a Charge Tower is right after using the Ultimate Ability because it will let players recharge it immediately for later.

To activate a Charge Tower players will need to interact with the control panel. The control panel will be found at the base of the tower, and once activated will give a charge anyone that is standing on the platform. This means that both teammates and enemies that are standing within the vicinity of a tower will have their Ultimate Ability charged up. Players should make sure that their teammates are nearby and able to receive a boost before activating a tower.

Apex Legends: Where to find Charge Towers

Players will find these towers spread all around the King’s Canyon map in Apex Legends. They are clustered up in several different areas of the map like The Rig. Players who want to get an early boost can always drop into the northeast corner of the map and visit The Rig before other players have a chance to check it out. Other than that, while players are roaming around the map looking for loot they should keep an eye out for these large yellow towers sticking out of the ground.
