Are Ivan & Alexa in a Relationship After Bachelor in Paradise Hotel Scandal?

Ivan Hall of Bachelor in Paradise might be dating Alexa Caves after their paradise hotel scandal, but it appears he may be single. Ivan had a notably complex journey in paradise. He initially paired up with Jessenia Cruz. The couple seemed like equal parts of a humble pie, but Jessenia ended up focusing her attention on Chris Conran. The BIP romance with Chris ended on a disrespectful note. Ivan then started dating Kendall Long, but Kendall couldn’t let go of lamenting over Joe Amabile. Finally, Ivan made a last ditch effort to court Chelsea Vaughn, angering Aaron Clancy. Keeping in mind Ivan’s turbulent Paradise journey, the hotel scandal with Alexa makes sense. Alexa originally joined Bachelor Nation on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor. However, Alexa, a 21-year-old esthetician from Chicago, never made it onto the beach. She still made a big splash on the show.

After finding Alexa’s hotel room number on a producer’s phone Ivan snuck in and spent some time with her. A producer in the hotel room next to Alexa heard voices late into the night that should have been a red flag she was no longer quarantining alone. Wells Adams, contestant-turned bartender-turned host of Bachelor in Paradise, realized something was wrong. Wells could go full-time as BIP host if fans are lucky,  Wells noticed producers huddled up and speaking in hushed tones. They initially gave him a script for the final rose ceremony when he tried to ask what was going on. Then producers told him they were going rogue. Wells told Us Weekly that he asked, “‘What does that mean?’ And they’re like, ‘just go ask Ivan to talk. He’s got something to tell you. Something happened last night when everyone was back at the [hotel].’… And then so then he, like, unloads this entire thing. There’s a lot longer conversation [that didn’t air].”  Wells has noted it was an especially difficult season to step in and host with the hotel scandal being the tip of the iceberg.

Fans initially thought Ivan could be dating The Bachelor’s Heather Martin. Heather joined Bachelor Nation on Colton Underwood’s season. She caught fans’ attention as the girl who’d never kissed anyone. Ivan and Heather were spotted at a party in La Jolla together, but there isn’t any indication the pair are officially together. Fans suspected that Alexa was dating Jasmine Nguyen after sharing a sweet Instagram post saying they had found love after all. However, after the rumors didn’t die down, Alexa squashed the gossip by clarifying they were just close friends. Based on Ivan’s social media presence, there also isn’t any indication that he is dating Alexa. Ivan appears ostensibly single online.

While BIP fans wanted Ivan on the show, time will tell if Ivan will be invited back after the transgressions. On an Instagram Story, he said he looked forward to when he could provide fans more color on what went down with Alexa. The pair do still follow each other on Instagram, indicating they are at least on friendly terms.

It’s important to keep cast members quarantined when not filming, and Ivan broke this rule. With the norms of quarantining for long periods on production sets and Ivan’s less-than-positive experience in Paradise, it’s easy to understand how he and Alexa ended up together for the night. However, Wells and production execs made clear that breaking the rules of Bachelor in Paradise is a major transgression. Whether it is or not is up for debate, but it’s likely Ivan wanted to move on from everything that took place and is happily single for now.
