Vin Diesel made his second consecutive appearance at The Game Awards live show, but this time he starred as the main character in the premiere trailer for ARK 2. The premiere cinematic trailer featured Vin Diesel and his tribe fighting against dinosaurs in a beautifully mysterious landscape.

ARK: Survival Evolved is a 2015 action-adventure title where players fight to survive on hazardous islands populated by various species of dinosaurs. Players were given the option to fight, tame, and kill each dinosaur they encountered while scavenging for food and building shelters from scratch. Progressing from the stone age to high tech weaponry, ARK: Survival Evolved allowed players to create their own narratives mainly because the game didn’t supply a solid storyline of its own.

While the Game Awards trailer didn’t give players a look at what ARK 2’s gameplay entails, the cinematic trailer made it seem as if the game will have some semblance of a storyline. Vin Diesel is seen leading his tribe through a dangerous jungle before being ambushed by another tribe. Making a narrow escape, Diesel and his daughter find their way into a cave filled with high-tech machinery that Diesel then uses to open a passage to a wondrous environment filled with floating islands. As many may remember, Vin Diesel made a disappointing appearance at The Game Awards 2019 to make the final announcement of the evening. As gamers awaited what should have been the largest announcement of the evening, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez revealed an underwhelming trailer for Fast & Furious Crossroads. Fans were not only disappointed by the announcement, but also the fact that the title looked like a game that belonged on the PS2 or Xbox 360. Luckily, Vin Diesel redeemed himself in the eyes of the video game community by staring in the breathtaking ARK 2 trailer.

As time passes, more details will be revealed about ARK 2, and hopefully, players won’t have to wait for long. It would be cool if players were able to take control of Vin Diesel in a story mode while also offering the same open-world survival experience as the first title. It will also be interesting to see what new creatures and equipment await players who are brave enough to face the dangers of ARK 2.
