The DC Comics series Arrow has officially come to an end after eight seasons on the CW. During its nearly decade-long run, Arrow amassed one of the best casts of a modern superhero series, featuring well-known stars from across all facets of entertainment. With how much effort goes into casting roles on big shows like Arrow, how the actors and actresses stack up height-wise is something that’s extremely important to how they’re characterized on the show.

Omitting cast members from related Arrowverse shows who only have recurring roles on Arrow itself, these are Arrow‘s tallest  and shortest cast members, based on data gathered from their individual IMDb bios.

10 TALLEST: Echo Kellum (6’5″)

Echo Kellum has played Curtis Holt/Mister Terrific since season 4 of Arrow. He stands the tallest of the show’s cast at 6’5″, making his character’s unlikely blend of technological prowess and athletic talent seem at least somewhat credulous.

Kellum was also on the cast of the single-camera sitcom Ben and Kate and had voice roles in multiple episodes of the hit adult animated series Rick and Morty.

9 TALLEST: Paul Blackthorne (6’4″)

At a height of around 6’4″, Paul Blackthorne’s sheer size makes him the perfect choice to play police detective Quentin Lance (Sara and Laurel’s father).

Blackthorne is also known for his role in the Oscar-nominated Bollywood film Lagaan, and for his television appearances on shows such as 24, ER, The Dresden Files, Burn Notice, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

8 TALLEST: LaMonica Garrett (6’2″)

LaMonica Garrett’s towering height (he stands at 6’2″) might have been an important reason why he was chosen for the role of the Mar Novu/The Monitor, the deific being who, as his name would imply, was created to oversee the Multiverse.

Garrett, who was named after football quarterback Daryle Lamonica, had a long career in sports (including a stint in professional SlamBall) before a series of acting stints led to him landing a major role in ABC’s Designated Survivor and, later, the Arrowverse shows.

7 TALLEST: David Ramsey (6’2″)

John Diggle/Spartan, a former special forces soldier who is hired as Queen’s bodyguard in Arrow‘s first episode, stands just an inch taller than his employer.

He’s portrayed by 6’2″ actor David Ramsey, who is known for small roles in movies such as Pay it Forward and Con Air as well as a recurring role on the Showtime series Dexter.

6 TALLEST: Stephen Amell (6’1″)

Stephen Amell portrays Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, the somewhat eccentric bow-and-arrow-wielding vigilante who serves as the main protagonist of the series.

Aside from his work on Arrow, Amell is known for his role as Casey Jones in 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. His height of 6’1″ gives him a commanding profile.

5 SHORTEST: Katie Cassidy (5’7″)

While the other actors aren’t so much taller than her that it would create a significant height imbalance, Katie Cassidy is definitely one of the shorter members of the Arrow cast, standing at roughly 5’7″. On the show, she plays Earth 2’s Laurel Lance, a character introduced in The Flash who serves as a villain in Arrow season 5 before going through a redemption arc in season 6 and fighting alongside Team Arrow in season 7 and beyond.

Cassidy is well-known for her roles in horror remakes such as When a Stranger Calls and Black Christmas (both released in 2006) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (released in 2010). She also had a role in season three of the CW series Supernatural.

4 SHORTEST: Jack Moore (5’6″)

Jack Moore is the youngest actor in Arrow‘s main cast, explaining his shortness relative to the rest of the crew (he’s 5’6″). He plays William Clayton, Oliver Queen’s son, starting with Arrow season 2, although his role became much bigger starting with season 6.

Besides his appearances in the Arrowverse, he can also be found in a 2015 episode of Minority Report and a 2016 episode of Supernatural.

3 SHORTEST: Willa Holland (5’6″)

Actress Willa Holland plays Thea Queen (also known as Speedy), Green Arrow’s younger sister, from season one of Arrow all the way to season eight. Standing at 5’6″, she makes up for the height disparity between her and her brother with a fiery, commanding personality.

She hasn’t had a huge breakout role since the show ended, but her early television appearances include parts in shows like Fox’s The O.C. and The CW’s Gossip Girl.

2 SHORTEST: Emily Bett Rickards (5’5″)

Emily Bett Rickards actually made her television debut with Arrow after her audition won the favor of co-star Stephen Amell (who plays Oliver Queen). She plays Felicity Smoak/Overwatch, a 5’5″ computer genius whose chance encounter with Queen leads to her becoming one of the founding members of Team Arrow.

Since her debut in the series, Rickards has had one or two recognizable movie roles, aside from her other appearances throughout the Arrowverse: she makes an appearance in the romantic period-drama Brooklyn and starred in the dark comedy Funny Story.

1 SHORTEST: Katherine McNamara (5’5″)

Katherine McNamara, who plays Oliver and Felicity’s daughter Mia Smoak, is a little under 5’5″, making her the shortest member of Arrow‘s main cast. But as with all of the series’ actors, her height (short or tall) doesn’t detract from her performance.

McNamara is also known for playing Sonya in The Maze Runner trilogy, as well as for her lead role as Clary Fray on the Freeform supernatural drama series Shadowhunters. She’s also set to make an appearance in the upcoming Stephen King miniseries The Stand.
