Dozens of super-villains have existed in the Arrowverse but none have been as formidable as Mobius aka the Anti-Monitor. During the crossover event “Crisis On Infinite Earths,” the Anti-Monitor attempted to destroy the multiverse and he was almost successful before he was stopped by the CW’s DC superhero team-up.

The Anti-Monitor’s appearance in the Arrowverse was the first time the antagonist had ever been portrayed in a live-action production. Previously, he had appeared in Green Lantern: The Animated Series. The following are a couple of questions that fans probably have about the Anti-Monitor and their answers.

The Anti-Monitor is said to be an antimatter copy of Mar Novu aka The Monitor. But is he more powerful than him? Well, Novu was able to confine him into a chamber during the events of Crisis though he was later freed by was freed by Harrison Nash Wells. This implies that he can at least overpower him compared to the other superheroes.

Oliver Queen stated that no single hero can defeat the Anti-Monitor on his own. The paragons had a hard time handling him. He was even able to keep off Earth 96’s Superman with one hand. The only way the heroes managed to defeat him was by using a shrinking bomb.

9 Can He Reach The Vanishing Point?

The Anti-Monitor can do a lot of things but one thing he is incapable of is reaching the Vanishing Point. According to “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three,” the Anti-Monitor cannot reach any place that is located outside time and space.

6 Can He Travel Through Other Dimensions At Will?

Other characters that have been able to move through different dimensions are Barry Allen, Accelerated Man, Cynthia, Cisco Ramon, Jay Garrick, Jesse Wells, Hunter Zolomon, Wally West, and Lyla Michaels. Barry Allen can move quickly enough to break exiting portals while Ramon moves by manipulating the energies of the multiverse.

Other Arrowverse characters than can do the same are Ray, Krieger and Al Rothstein. Ray used the A.T.O.M. Exosuit to increase his size while Rothstein doubled the size of his body after  absorbing as much radiation as he could.

2 Can He Grant Powers?

The Anti-Monitor has the ability to give new powers to anyone he likes. With much ease, he was able to give Harrison Nash Wells the powers of teleportation and inter dimensional travel by turning him into Pariah.

He was also able to give the same powers to Nash’s antimatter clone and converted him into Outkast. The Anti-Monitor hasn’t been seen using this ability frequently despite the fact that it could give him a very big advantage of Earth’s heroes. Recruiting millions of bad guys and giving them powers would make him unstoppable.

1 How Long Can He Posses Someone?

During the events of Crisis, the Anti-Monitor was able to posses Harbinger and use her body to kill the Monitor and steal his essence. But how long can he possess someone? He cannot do so for so long.

While possessing Harbinger, he still had to destroy her together with the Waverider and Earth-1 because some of his abilities were limited when he was in her body. Despite the ability to live in a new host, the Anti-Monitor still prefers to work in his own body.
