Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is full of secrets and easter eggs that, according to developers, players have yet to find. One secret that is shrouded in mystery is the secret Isu Language and Challenge that will have players deciphering and decoding puzzles like Tom Hanks in the Da Vinci Code. Ancient languages and secrets have been a part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise since day one.

Most recently, players have found a secret bow that appears to be popping up via exploit. Images and talk of this exploit have been circling social media. Fans of the game have most certainly seen Reddit posts or Tweets about its discovery. The Nordens Arc Bow is part of the Isu weapon set and is possibly the best bow in the game. Finding this bow is straightforward, but it’s confusing whether or not this was Ubisoft’s intention. It feels more like a bug than a secret weapon discovery. Here’s how to unlock the Nordens Arc Bow in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Where to find the Nordens Arc Bow

To find this beast of a bow, players will have to venture to the Northernmost point in Europe, to a synchronizing spot on a secluded island in the middle of a lake. On this island, players will find a rock that looks like an average Iron Ore deposit. However, this rock cannot be destroyed like the others. It’s invulnerable. Not even Thor’s mighty hammer, Mjolnir, can break it! But players won’t be trying to break it.

Instead, players must hit the rock a few times with whatever weapon they have equipped. They should stick with melee weapons, as that seems to be what most YouTuber’s are using. Here is a step by step to unlocking the Nordens Arc Bow:

  • With a melee weapon, hit the rock a handful of times (4-5)
  • Manually save the game.
  • Re-Load that save.
  • Players should spawn right next to the rock. Hit it a few more times.
  • Manually save the game again.
  • Re-Load and the rock should be destroyed. Players should get a notification saying they’ve unlocked the bow.

There won’t be anything to pick up. The bow should appear on the side of players’ screens. If this tactic does NOT work after two saves, try it a third time. It has varied from player to player. The Nordens Arc Bow comes pre-upgraded and has a unique passive ability. The further away Eivor is from the target, the more damage the bow will do. It is technically a Hunter Bow already buffed to the Mythical Level. Combine the Nordens Arc Bow with the Huntsman Armor for even more ranged damage.

In the video below, YouTuber JorRapter puts the bow’s passive ability to the test against the Legendary Bull, Aelfred’s Battle Sow. The Nordens Arc Bow was dealing 1900 critical damage when paired with the Hunstman armor. JorRapter only needed to land a few well-placed shots to take the best down. Early on in the video, JorRaptor also explains how to unlock the bow and where exactly players must go on the map.

We’ll see what other secret weapons are hiding in the code of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The Nordens Arc Bow seems like more of an exploit than a secret. Perhaps developers were planning to officially release it in a future update, similar to what happened with the Wakizashi blades in Black Ops Cold War or the Streetsweeper Shotgun in Call of Duty: Warzone. Players should drop what they’re doing and hurry to claim this bow before it’s potentially patched.
