Crafting and upgrading gear is an important part of any RPG, and, in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, there are three resources players will need to find to be able to upgrade their equipment. These are carbon ingot, nickel ingot, and tungsten ingot. Each kind of ingot will raise a player’s gear by a single Tier of quality. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla narrates the Viking conquest of Anglo-Saxon strongholds in England. Players control Eivor, a Viking raider leading their people into battle and seeking revenge against the cruel man who killed their father. Given the amount of fighting, exploring, and raiding players will participate in, having good, upgraded gear will be essential to Eivor’s success and survival.

Tungsten ingot will upgrade armor or weapons from Flawless Tier quality to Mythical Tier quality. Each Tier increases the number of upgrade slots on the armor or weapon, which will allow the player to increase the item’s stats. Because tungsten ingot is needed to reach the highest upgrade Tier, it is the rarest and most difficult upgrade material to find and is often located in chests around the more difficult, high-level regions of England. Players will need to have a high power level to access them. Unlike the carbon or nickel ingots, players will not be able to purchase them from shops after finding their first one. There are several easy ways to farm as many tungsten ingots as possible without simply searching for them around Euvicsire, Hamtunscire, Snotinghamscire, Lincolnscire and Glowecestreshire. Here’s how to get more tungsten ingots easily in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Find More Tungsten Ingots in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

Players will be able to easily find tungsten ingots by following the map. Each of the high-level areas of England will be noted with a gold marker or the ingot icon. Chests in these areas should contain tungsten ingots. Because there are a finite number of locations, players may need to seek other methods to find more tungsten ingots and upgrade more gear to the Mythical Tier.

One easy way to get more tungsten ingots is to trade fish. Once players have unlocked the Fishing Hut at their settlement, they can spend time fishing and trade their daily catches in for tungsten ingot. Fishing can be difficult, however, but as players practice and improve their fishing ability, this may make it easier to gather extra tungsten ingots.

Another method for getting more tungsten ingots is to trade some hunting materials. To do this, players need to have the Hunter’s Hut unlocked. When speaking to Petra or Wallace, players can trade sets of hunting resources for tungsten ingots.

There are several animal specimens that players can trade for rare resources, including wolf fangs, animal guts, and viper eggs. Players will need to loot any animals they hunt to collect all the hunting materials they earn.

There are a limited number of times a player can receive tungsten ingots for fish or hunting resource trade-ins. Though it doesn’t take very much of the rare resource to upgrade gear, players should choose which items they want to upgrade very carefully to avoid wasting any.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
