Attack on Titan is based on the best selling manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama. The series follows a community of people forced to seek refuge behind giant walls from man-eating monsters (Titans). Season 4, part 1 kicks off with a  4-year time skip, and centers around a completely different Eren Yeager than viewers have come to know. Eren shocks everyone by betraying his friends, leaving viewers to question how the series could possibly end.

With the original Japanese debut of Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 having already aired, those who are waiting for the English simuldub have finally been given the release date. The English dub will launch on both Funimation and Crunchyroll on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in several different countries. Alongside this premiere, the Spanish and Portuguese voice dubs will also be available for viewing.

Many of the English voice actors will be returning to their roles, such as Bryce Papenbrook as Eren Jaeger, Josh Grelle as Armin Arlelt, and Trina Nishimura – English voice of Mikasa Ackermann. Eren’s Japanese voice actor (Yuki Kaji) recently opened up about how emotional he was while recording for the final season. Despite having read the manga and knowing what awaited him, Kaji was moved to tears, stating that “you’ll feel how painful he had to feel.” This gives viewers an insight into what to expect from this long-awaited final season.
