Captain America’s inspiring speech from Avengers: Endgame gets a United States election twist in this video shared by a slew of Marvel stars. The MCU’s Infinity Saga came to a rousing conclusion in 2019’s Endgame, which saw the surviving heroes from the end of Avengers: Infinity War unite to save the universe and reverse Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) devastating Snap. Overall, Endgame was seen as a hit by audiences and even beat Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time. In addition to completing the Infinity Saga, the film served as a send off for Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans).

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The pivotal Endgame speech comes just as the Avengers prepare to embark on their Time Heist. The Time Heist serves as essentially the second act of Endgame, as the team splits off into separate groups to travel back in time and recover the Infinity Stones. This allows for some trips back to past MCU films, like Thor: The Dark World and the very first Avengers. Before everyone heads out, however, Cap gives one of his signature motivational speeches. He even gets the approval of cynical Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper).

In a move that would likely make Steve Rogers proud, his speech has been placed over news footage to show just how relevant Endgame is to the current United States election. Originally created by TikTok user Jay Mewes, the video has been shared by several MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany and Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Evans himself gave it a retweet as well. You can see the video down below.

As the US election creeps closer (with Election Day being next Tuesday, November 3), more and more celebrities have worked to get the word out about voting. Hamilton cast members united to sing modified songs from the musical about voting, while HBO Max staged a West Wing reunion filled with vital information. The Endgame video might be one of the more surprising methods of encouraging voting, but it’s certainly won the approval of those MCU stars. Also, it fits shockingly well.

While Endgame, the MCU’s high point, arrived just last year, the franchise itself is at a bit of a lull right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. The two films once scheduled for 2020 – Black Widow and Eternals – have been delayed until next year, and the only project centered within the franchise still on track to be released is WandaVision on Disney+. Nevertheless, this Endgame video is proof that the MCU can still inspire and entertain fans, even if it’s on a bit of a break.
