It appears that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be featuring scenes set in the ’70s, according to a recent casting call. Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming superhero film unites virtually all corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing together Earth’s mightiest heroes with the Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as many others, for the first time ever. Together, they’ll take on the Mad Titan Thanos and his Black Order.

The Russo Brothers began principal photography earlier this year, and they have been filming ever since, though some members of the cast have been busy filming and promoting their own respective movies: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther. Considering that the upcoming film will be unlike anything audiences have ever seen – with there being upwards of 30 superheroes on screen at the same time – it’s understandable for them to be shooting for as long as they have been. And it seems like there aren’t plans to wrap production anytime soon.

Marvel has issued a new casting call for Avengers: Infinity War through Backstage, looking for a Caucasian, ’70s model-type female with the following requirements: “attractive, natural hair color only no highlights, no tattoos, long hair preferred, hippy, flower child style.” They are looking for someone available to shoot on July 10 and 11. Although the casting call is labeled under Avengers: Infinity War, it’s worth mentioning that the casting could actually be for the film’s sequel, the currently untitled Avengers 4, which is scheduled to begin filming at about the same time mentioned in the casting call.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Marvel Studios filmed sequences set in the past, particularly flashback scenes; it’s actually something that the studio has employed more often nowadays. James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy opened in the late ’80s, showing the Ravagers abducting Peter Quill (Gunn shot another flashback sequence in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well). The following year, Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man shot a flashback sequence, showing Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym resigning from S.H.I.E.L.D.; the scene also featured cameos from Hayley Atwell and John Slattery as Peggy Carter and Howard Stark, respectively. The Russo Brothers also used the past effectively in Captain America: Civil War, featuring several scenes involving Bucky Barnes during his days as the Winter Soldier.

Instead of going back to the ’80s, this time, Avengers: Infinity War is heading back even earlier. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess as to which character the casting call is related to. Several of the movie’s main characters have ties back to the ’70s and ’80s – and some going back even further than that (e.g. Captain America). Seeing how set photos and videos continue to leak from the Infinity War set, we may find out more about the ’70s sequences before the film hits theaters next year.
