Baby Pogo is absolutely adorable in this new Umbrella Academy season 2 image. The Umbrella Academy first premiered in February 2019 and became an instant sensation for Netflix. The series, based on the graphic novels by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, follows a group of adopted siblings who were all born on the same day and gifted with mysterious powers. While the first season followed the Hargreeves kids as they tried to prevent the apocalypse, season 2 will pick up with them in an entirely different decade – while still trying to stop an apocalypse. The Umbrella Academy season 2 will find the Hargreeves’ in the 60s, where they ended up after time-traveling Number Five (Aidan Gallagher) used his powers to whisk them away from the end of the world.

To describe The Umbrella Academy as quirky would be an understatement, and one only has to look as far as Pogo to see that. In the first season, Pogo was a walking and talking chimpanzee who served as the Hargreeves family’s butler, essentially. Pogo mainly served Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), but he was an integral part of the kids’ lives. Sadly, Pogo died following Vanya’s (Ellen Page) violent and powerful outburst, but some fans have noticed a younger version of him was included in The Umbrella Academy‘s season 2 trailer.

In preparation of this week’s Umbrella Academy season 2 premiere, Netflix will be providing sneak peeks at the highly anticipated season every day until Friday. The first is insanely adorable: It’s baby Pogo! Exactly what he’s up to isn’t clear, but that might not matter much considering how he’s just really sweet. Check him out down below.

Now that the Hargreeves have traveled back in time, they’re also going to run into a younger version of Reginald. That’s just scraping the surface of what The Umbrella Academy season 2 promises to have in store, as in addition to the impending apocalypse (again), the Hargreeves siblings will face new threats. The siblings have been scattered across a three year period, guaranteeing that there’s going to be some odd moments when they all come together again. For example, Klaus (Robert Sheehan) has started a cult, and Five has only just arrived.

It’s not clear what role Baby Pogo will play in The Umbrella Academy season 2, but his presence is still surely a welcome one. Considering how brutal his death was, there’s bound to be some mixed emotions when he resurfaces. Will he be able to help the Hargreeves’, or will he hinder their efforts? And will he stay alive this time? Fans have a lot of questions going into season 2, and they’ll finally get some answers this Friday when The Umbrella Academy returns to Netflix.
