Bachelor in Paradise stars Evan Bass and Carly Wadell were spotted grabbing a bite to eat over the weekend without their children. The former reality stars announced that they were getting a divorce in December 2020 after three years of marriage. Carly made her official statement on her YouTube channel, confirming that the pair had been separated since Thanksgiving 2020. They tried going to therapy to work out on their marriage, but it could not fix the foundations they had set up for their relationship.

As the Bachelor Nation fans will remember, Carly and Evan met back on Bachelor in Paradise season 3. Their relationship began after Evan got a date card on the show and decided to ask if Carly would like to join him. She was skeptical at first but tried to keep an open mind. When the couple shared their first kiss, they also competed for the world record for the longest kiss. They then ate a habanero pepper, but Carly did not enjoy it and ended up having to go to the restroom. Nonetheless, Carly fell for Evan’s charm and sweet personality, and the pair got engaged by the end of the season.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Over the weekend, TMZ cameras spotted recently-divorced pair Carly Wadell and Evan Bass at brunch on Sunday at White Limozeen at the Graduate Hotel in Nashville. Onlookers told the publication that Carly and Evan were acting very friendly and close with one another. The outing was a bit suspicious, as the date took place on Mother’s Day, and their children, Isabella, three, and Charlie, 17 months, did not accompany them. However, the estranged couple did not engage in any PDA according to other witnesses. All they did was chat and enjoy a meal together, which could mean something, or nothing at all.

While it may seem as though the former couple is getting back together, that might not be the case according to other sources. As reported by E!, Carly and Evan are focused on cultivating a supportive co-parenting friendship to maintain some sense of stability for their kids. “Carly and Evan shared Mother’s Day together to catch each other up on their lives and discussed co-parenting and the children’s summer schedules,” Carly’s teams said in a statement to the news outlet. The couple wants to maintain some sort of friendship so their children can grow up without feeling like they need to take a side in their parents’ relationship. As such, it appears that Carly and Evan will not be getting back together anytime soon.

Carly and Evan, who are working through their split behind the scenes, may have been a fan-favorite couple from Bachelor in Paradise. However, some fans insist that there are enough signs of a romantic reconciliation. Alas, they’re focusing on their kids and creating a healthy home environment for them. Carly and Evan are committed to co-parenting their two children as they navigate their way through a divorce.
