Former Miss Puerto Rico Catalina Morales is now competing for Matt James’ heart on The Bachelor season 25. It feels like this season of The Bachelor has been going on for quite some time, but the series has only been on the air for four weeks in 2021. Matt’s season started out with 32 women, which was a record number of contestants for the franchise. Given that this was already a pretty large cast and that the show was filmed under COVID-19 restrictions, some fans theorized that perhaps no new women would be brought in halfway through the season.

And yet, five new contestants were added to the cast of The Bachelor season 25 this week. That includes Catalina Morales, Brittany Galvin, Kim Li, Michelle Young, and Ryan Claytor. Like it happens every single year, the women who were already on the show obviously didn’t enjoy that they had to face new competitors. With that said, some of the women this year took things to a new extreme, and one of the newcomers was even accused of being an “escort.” Nonetheless, the new contestants were a welcome addition to the cast, and Matt James made that clear on his end.

Brand-new to fight for Matt James’ heart on The Bachelor is 30-year-old Catalina Morales, who is best known for her successful career in beauty pageants. Specifically, Catalina won Miss Puerto Rico 2015 and reigned successfully for an entire year. She considers Caguas, Puerto Rico her hometown, but she has also lived in New York City in recent years. Catalina loves dancing salsa and merengue and follows the “you only live once” motto. In turn, she has said that she is terrified of blood, regardless of whether it is real or fake.

The existing Bachelor contestants weren’t exactly thrilled about the new women coming in, but Catalina didn’t get the worst reactions from her co-stars. She is hoping to find the love of her life coming into the series, and Matt James was nothing but receptive not only to Catalina but also to all of the other newbies.

Only time will tell if Catalina will indeed end up with Matt. At this point, the fans are excited about that possibility.
