Bachelor: Hannah Ann Sluss Responds to Ex Peter and Hannah B’s Hookup

Like most Bachelor fans, Hannah Ann Sluss  was just as surprised as anyone else was to learn that Peter Weber and Hannah Brown hooked up while his season was airing. Hannah Ann was the winner of Peter’s season of The Bachelor, only to break up with him shortly after the season aired. Hannah Brown made a return appearance on Peter’s season after he finished as the second runner-up on Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. So they’ve all been connected for some time, just now more than anyone previously knew.

The drama surrounding the reconnection between Peter Weber and Hannah Brown began on his season of The Bachelor, when Hannah B. returned to the show, seemingly confusing the 30-year-old bachelor. In the After the Rose special for Weber’s season, Hannah Ann explained that Hannah Brown had reached out to Peter seeking closure. Peter was interested in garnering that same closure, which Hannah Ann recalled as the “first red flag” of their doomed future. 

In an interview with People, Hannah Brown confirmed that she and her ex-flame, Peter, hooked up when the two of them attended an engagement party in February 2020. With a timeline shockingly close to the end of Peter and Hannah Ann’s relationship, the season 24 winner took to social media for her response. Hannah Ann shared to Tik Tok a video with the text, “When the tea finally spills…” in which she lip-syncs, “That was embarrassing. I really hope you’re embarrassed. Wow.” If the video itself was too cryptic for viewers, the caption solidified its context when Hannah Ann added, “Always trust your instincts, ladies.

The shocking hookup occurred only a month after Hannah Ann and Peter broke off their engagement. In the same People interview discussing her upcoming book God Bless This Mess, Brown admitted, “The chemistry just wasn’t there,” but still, the timeline is wonky. Bachelor Nation fans all also remember that Peter started dating Madison Prewitt shortly after breaking up with Hannah Ann, which means he was really all over the place.

Ultimately, none of these Bachelor nation women ended up with Peter in the long run and it’s hard not to see why. Peter’s season of The Bachelor teemed with his uncertainty of not really knowing what he wanted in a partner. While Peter never explicitly cheated on Hannah Ann, it’s fair for her to feel that his mind may have been wavering during their engagement. While some Bachelor fans still root for Peter to find lasting love, many fans will likely agree that his execution after his season was sloppy.
