Bachelor In Paradise: Jenna Cooper & Karl Hudson Elope In New Orleans

Cast member Jenna Cooper from Bachelor in Paradise season 5 recently surprised her followers with news that she and her fiancé Karl Hudson got married while on a trip to New Orleans. Jenna has not had an easy time finding love. The popular bubbly blonde appeared on Arie Luyendyk’s season of The Bachelor and later Bachelor in Paradise season 5, where she met and got engaged to Jordan Kimball. However, their engagement was short-lived, and Jenna became the subject of controversy after texts surfaced that seemed to indicate she was cheating on Jordan. It turns out Jenna was actually the target of deluded fans who were out to destroy her reputation, and the texts were completely fake.

Jenna never returned to Bachelor Nation after that, but she found happiness outside the franchise. After falling in love with her now-husband Karl, the couple welcomed a daughter, Presley, in 2020. Last summer, on a trip to Turks and Caicos, Karl proposed and Jenna enthusiastically said yes.

While Jenna and Karl were in New Orleans for a basketball tournament, the couple decided to elope. Jenna said it was “so fun and spontaneous and exciting” and though she only had a few days to plan her wedding, Jenna was able to put together something romantic and memorable. “I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out,” Jenna commented in her Instagram post. “The ceremony was really special.” Though there were few in attendance due to the impromptu nature of the ceremony, Jenna pointed out that the friend who introduced them was there.

Jenna and Karl’s wedding may have come as a surprise, but she informed her followers that it won’t be their only wedding. The couple is still planning a ceremony and reception in the fall, to which they will be inviting all their friends and family. After everything Jenna went through in Bachelor Nation, there are many viewers who are no doubt relieved that Jenna has found happiness. She had her reputation completely destroyed by lies that spread like wildfire in the franchise. It took a long time for her to be vindicated, and even after she was, the damage was done.

Thankfully, Jenna now has a beautiful family that she’s built for herself, and her time on Bachelor in Paradise is probably just a distant memory. It’s no wonder the couple was all smiles in the photos they shared on Instagram and that Jenna’s followers were overjoyed to see her so happy. It seems a surprise wedding was the right choice for her. Several cast members from Bachelor Nation have gotten married in recent years, but Jenna’s happy ending is especially heartwarming.
