Bachelor: Kit Shares Mom Cynthia Rowley’s Sex And The City Name-Drop
The Bachelor season 25 star Kit Keenan decided to watch Sex and the City for the first time in her life and was surprised to hear her mother, NYC fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, getting name-dropped by a character on the show. Kit Keenan made a huge splash when she walked out in week one dressed like a true New York City socialite. She grew on the fans as the weeks went by, but the 21-year-old was never deemed a fan-favorite in any capacity.
At first, Kit’s main storyline on The Bachelor was that she was the daughter of a very famous fashion designer, Cynthia Rowley. On the show, Kit did succeed – to some degree – to show different sides of herself. However, Matt James and Bachelor Nation still had a hard time connecting with a girl who had such a different upbringing. She also had a really hard time opening up to other people, which is always a bad sign for a contestant on The Bachelor.
This week, Kit Keenan started watching Sex And The City for the first time and, she shared a particular clip of the show with her The Bachelor fans. Speaking of unrelatable experiences, Kit was shocked to watch a scene where her mother, Cynthia Rowley, literally gets name-dropped by a character. The scene in question is from Sex and the City season 2 episode 11, which is an episode about Charlotte trying to figure out if her new friend, Stephan, is straight or gay. In one of their interactions, Charlotte tried to flirt with him, but a clueless Stephan asks if the dress that Charlotte is wearing was a Cynthia Rowley design. Kit shared the scene via Instagram with a compliment to her mom: “legendary @cynthiarowley.”
This scene that Bachelor star Kit Keenan shared is a purposeful joke on Sex and the City, of course, which deliberately suggests that Stephan’s deep knowledge of fashion is another clue that he is gay. Alas, one can be sure that Kit was just shocked by the sheer mention of her mother’s name on a show that she was just casually binge-watching for the first time.
One thing is certain: Kit is related to some very important people. While her own business projects keep growing, maybe there will be a spot on Bachelor In Paradise for her in the future.
