With the official departure of Chris Harrison as the host of The Bachelor, the viewers are left wondering – and speculating – who will become his long-term replacement once season 26 premieres in 2022. After more than 19 years with the Bachelor Nation franchise, the long-standing host announced that he will not be returning to the show for future seasons. As the story goes, Chris was temporarily replaced by Emmanuel Acho for Matt James’ After The Final Rose special, and by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe for Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. While viewers thought that he would return for The Bachelor season 26, it has been announced that Chris has officially departed the franchise.

After it was announced Chris Harrison would be leaving as host of the ABC franchise, it was also revealed he got a large payout as part of his deal. Reports say that the former host walked away with an eight-figure payout, possibly ranging anywhere between $10 million and $25 million. Now that Chris is permanently out of the picture, the fans are beginning to discuss who could possibly replace him as the permanent new host. Here is a shortlist of a few TV personalities who could potentially replace Chris Harrison.

Emmanuel Acho

After filling in for Chris Harrison as the host for Matt James’ After The Final Rose special, Emmanuel Acho quickly became the number one replacement for the franchise. The former NFL player and book author did a fantastic job asking Matt and Rachael Kirkconnell the tough questions about their relationship, race, and more. He is also a co-host on the Speak For Yourself podcast and is an analyst for Fox Sports 1. Emmanuel is more than qualified to host The Bachelor, to say the least.

Jojo Fletcher

During Tayhsia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette, Jojo filled in for Chris while he was off taking his son to college. The 30-year-old was able to offer Tayhshia sound advice as she was in the exact same position just four years ago prior. The viewers really enjoyed watching Jojo as a host giving valuable advice to Tayshia instead of just showing up on the night of a rose ceremony.

Wells Adams

After starring as the bartender on Bachelor In Paradise season 4, Wells Adams is also a possible contender for becoming the next mainstay host of Bachelor Nation. Wells might also be one of the more qualified possibilities as he has legitimate experience in the broadcast field. Before The Bachelorette, Wells worked as a radio host in Nashville and even majored in broadcast journalism. Not to mention, he has hosted quite a few athletic dates alongside Chris since he’s appeared on the show.

Rachel Lindsay

One of the most fitting Chris Harrison replacements would be the first Black lead of The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay. Not only did she spearhead the diversity change in The Bachelor franchise, but she is also one of the hosts of Extra. Thus, Rachel has the experience as an interviewer, as well as the experience as a former Bachelorette, to guide a new Bachelor Nation lead to success. However, Rachel did end her contact with the franchise after she quit her podcast Bachelor Happy Hour, so becoming the next permanent host may not be entirely realistic.

The Bachelorette season 17 airs Mondays at 8 pm EST on ABC.
