Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette has finally premiered, and it’s time to share facts about Ryan Fox, who was eliminated after his binders were revealed. The environmental consultant was busted for his excessive note-taking and planning, making him the first to be sent home this season. Clearly, Ryan didn’t get Bachelorette Michelle’s first impression rose, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. Ryan has a passion for charity and a previous connection to Bachelor Nation, and its possible fans could see him in the franchise again.

Ryan first rolled up to Michelle in an ice cream truck, offering the Bachelorette a “double scoop of love,” and Michelle was initially charmed by Ryan’s frosty treat entrance, However, hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe told her about Ryan’s notes, not to mention his playbook, which was supposed to help him go far on The Bachelorette. After that, all Michelle could see were red flags. Ryan said the notes were written by a friend’s wife, but she was understandably skeptical. Michelle eliminated Ryan before the rose ceremony, and just like that, Ryan’s The Bachelorette journey came to an end. His efforts to not become the villain of the season backfired spectacularly, and he could face a lot of criticism.

Surprisingly, Ryan already had ties to Bachelor Nation through the new Bachelor Nation live shows. These shows pick a Bachelor from cities throughout the U.S., who then pass out roses through a condensed Bachelor Nation journey. Ryan was the Bachelor for the San Jose, California live show. While he called it the “experience of a lifetime,” at least a few attendees were underwhelmed. As per San Jose Theater, a reviewer said, “unfortunately Ryan bachelor was nervous, stressed, did not smile.” The critic also said he was lacking “stage presence, humor, [and] wit.” Another commenter remarked, “he did not seem like a good catch that the audience could get excited about.

According to Bachelorette contestant Ryan’s Instagram, he’s a Silicon Valley resident with a lot of interests. Ryan is the owner and founder of Fox Onsite Solutions, an environmental consulting company that got a rocky start during the pandemic. That isn’t Ryan’s only passion, as he’s a big supporter of the Special Olympics and volunteers as a coach. Ryan appears to be family-oriented and he is also an avid traveler. He’s posted pictures from locations such as Barcelona, London, and Walt Disney World.

Ryan’s time on The Bachelorette was brief but impactful. It’s possible that he will pop up on Bachelor in Paradise somewhere down the line. He’s obviously a fan of the franchise, as no Bachelor Nation newbie would be capable of the insights found in his notes. However, his desire to do well on the show ended up being his downfall. Ryan’s shot with Michelle is over, and the Bachelorette is focused on her other men.
