The saying goes “Good things come to those who wait”, and no one seems to know that better than Clare Crawley, the former Bachelorette star who has recently reconnected with 31-year-old Blake Monar. Clare’s short reign as Bachelorette for season 16 was relatively one-note due to her quick infatuation with Dale Moss until Tayshia Adams took over; fans praised the cast’s ability to adapt and were interested in several men. Blake was only featured on a few episodes after being cut by Clare during week 2, but his appearance on Bachelor in Paradise‘s 7th season solidified his mark with viewers after getting into a heated discussion with co-star Tia Booth.

Blake and ex-fiancé Dale are not the only Bachelor Nation stars that have been linked to Clare throughout her time with ABC. Before getting the call for The Bachelorette, Clare competed for Juan Pablo Galavis’s love on season 18 of The Bachelor. Considered a strong and independent woman, Clare walked away disappointed and hurt after losing to Nikki Ferrell during the finale. After entering several brief flings on the first Bachelor in Paradise, Clare’s love triangle with Jared Haibon and his now-wife Ashley Iaconetti on season 2 is considered a highlight. Luckily, things have been finally looking up for the 40-year-old after her devastating breakup last year, as Blake and Clare have been seen getting cozy over the past few weeks.

According to Us Weekly, Clare and Blake are taking things slow after reconnecting. “Their friendship has blossomed into something really special, and she’s letting it roll organically,” an insider reveals. “Things are progressing between Clare and Blake since reuniting earlier this year. Even though they live in different states, they talk daily.” The two were first pictured together on January 9 after Clare and Blake both uploaded compilations detailing their trip together. Despite meeting up for business, both Bachelor Nation stars showed Clare playing with Blake’s niece and nephews; the source for Us confirms that Blake has introduced Clare to his family and that everyone “bonded quickly.”

With Clare and Blake showing off their karaoke skills on January 27, the new couple are clearly enjoying their time together despite their rocky meeting two years ago. “It has been evident to everyone around them how much they bring out the best in each other,” the source continues. “It is clear to friends that Clare is the happiest she’s ever been.” Judging by Clare’s Instagram, the scoop is more than correct. Posing strutting her stuff across a San Francisco street, fans were quick to notice a glow about the hairstylist. “That smile says everything we need to know! So happy for you!!!” one user wrote, while another said, “Happiness looks good on you.” Even Uzoma “E.Z.” Nwachukwu, who competed for Clare’s (and Tayshia’s) heart on their season, has noticed a difference, reiterating “Happy looks good on you” on Clare’s video from January 16.

Clare has had a rough year since the demise of her engagement to Dale, but Bachelor Nation fans are happy to see that she is reconnecting with a potential suitor she once rejected. Because she got together with Dale so fast, viewers never really saw Clare form a connection with any of the other contestants. Now that the two have grown closer, in part due to working in the same industry, fans are eager to see this relationship progress for the Bachelorette alumni.
