It wouldn’t be The Bachelorette without some pretty shocking secrets for fans to uncover. The last episode saw everyone’s favorite Harvard boy Bennett Jordan get into a nasty squabble with murse Noah Erb. Apart from declaring that he’s not on “The Babysitter” but The Bachelorette, Bennett also showed his vulnerable side to Tayshia Adams. The New Yorker’s failed engagement may have been his biggest mystery yet. He was engaged to Liz Brim and fans of the show are curious about his ex.

The total package” Bennett charmed Bachelor Nation (and Tayshia) almost instantly, thanks to his boujee ways. While many remain annoyed by his Harvard shoutouts, Bennett’s inability to spell limousine (probably because he entered the show in a Rolls-Royce) gave The Bachelorette one of its top comedic moments. Bennett appeared on The Bachelorette season 16 to charm Clare Crawley, but spitting bars and eating hot chilis landed him some much-awaited one-on-one time with Tayshia. She became Bennett’s fave Bachelorette after he developed feelings for her during the fake proposal, and he decided to kiss and tell! Tayshia learned about Bennett being engaged before and calling it off. ABC viewers saw him get emotional for the first time on TV. While The Bachelorette (and the fans) waited for Bennett to blow the lid off his past some more, in true Clark Kent-style, he didn’t. However, nothing stays hidden from Bachelor Nation for too long, so it was inevitable that information about his ex Liz Brim would surface.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

It was Reality Steve who’d first disclosed The Bachelorette star’s murky past by posting pictures of Liz Brim’s Facebook wall. A post showed Liz Brim announcing her engagement to Bennett in February 2019, with their last post together being from August 2019. While it’s not yet known what caused Bennett to nip “#andbenforever” in the bud, he seems to be friends with his former fiancée. The Bachelorette celeb follows Liz on Instagram, where her private profile bio says, “Still sparkling, sometimes. Mildly self-aware & witty on my better days.” Liz and Bennett’s friendship seems to go back a long way, judging by a post from May 2015, when Liz was still gracing his Bennett Jordan Instagram feed. Liz, who seems to prefer using her full name Elizabeth professionally, has a BA degree in Psychology with a focus in behavioral neuroscience. That degree is from Yale University. YaleBullDogs featured Liz for being a champ in women’s sailing. She has many amazing achievements under her belt. Formerly a Lakeville, Connecticut, resident, as per her LinkedIn, The Bachelorette‘s Bennett’s ex-fiancé now works in New York City, just like he does. Her experience includes working with Condé Nast in the sales team and doing marketing for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Cole Haan, and oral healthcare brand Candid. Currently, Liz is a part of the trendy Daily Harvest team, where she works as the director of lifecycle marketing for the health foods company. Clearly, Bennett loves himself a goal-oriented woman!

I’ve seen bad marriages, I’ve seen bad relationships. I think sometimes when people get married, it’s for the wrong reasons. And basically, I was close, and I knew it wasn’t right,” Bennett was heard telling Tayshia on The Bachelorette. His feelings for the phlebotomist turned out to be a “massive pivot point” for Bennett, but his tiff with Noah is bound to have consequences. Still, The Bachelorette fans did like seeing this softer side of the suave Bennett Jordan. After showing signs of being the villain, he is a fan-favorite due to his comedic crusades.

The Bachelorette season 16 airs Tuesdays at 8pm EST on ABC.
