Baldur’s Gate 3 is known for its challenging gameplay, and so players are constantly on the lookout for the strongest weapons included in the game so far. The roleplaying game has a slew of equipment to find, and so easily identifying the best gear can be a challenge of its own. Paleoak Is A Powerful Staff For Casters In Baldur’s Gate 3

One of the more powerful weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Paleoak. This powerful staff comes with two unique effects that make it perfect for Sorcerers in Baldur’s Gate 3 or any other spellcaster. The staff’s first effect allows the user to blanket an area in thick vines, slowing movement speed in the radius. The second allows the holder of the staff to ignore the movement speed debuff of the vine thicket completely.

Effectively, the abilities of Paleoak allow a ranged caster to out-maneuver enemies. Should a character using Paleoak find themselves surrounded by melee enemies, they can simply blanket the area in vines and abscond. The power of this staff should not be underrated, as players can fairly easily circumvent one of the greatest weaknesses of ranged damage carries. Paleoak can be found in the Druid grove area. Players must take the “Investigate Kagha” side quest, which is found in the area. In order to receive Paleoak, Kagha must survive to the end of the quest.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Spear, Vision of the Absolute, Can Blind Tricky Foes

Players who prefer a more up close and personal style of combat have plenty of options as well. Vision of the Absolute is a two-handed spear with two useful effects to gain the upper hand over opponents. The first effect allows wielders a chance to blind enemies with every hit, reducing their ability to fight back and creating some breathing room for Sorcerers and other caster classes.

The spear’s second effect grants an extra 2d6 damage against creatures with multiple sets of eyes. This is more useful than it may sound to players with less experience in Baldur’s Gate 3, and can completely turn the tide of battle against certain foes such as specters. The spear can be found in the Owlbear Nest in the Druid Grove area.
