DC and Webtoon have partnered for a brand new series starring Batman’s family in Wayne Family Adventures, showcasing their experiences as a group outside of their heroics in Gotham. As many DC fans know, the Dark Knight has amassed quite a few sons, protegés, and allies over the years, becoming the patriarch of several young vigilantes as they work to protect Gotham. However, this new series looks to spend less time seeing them in action and more time in Wayne Manor itself, seeing Batman’s comical struggles to be a father to so many young heroes.

At this point, Brue Wayne has a fairly sprawling Bat-Family, including Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas, and Cassandra Cain. Even Harley Quinn is joining Batman’s inner circle in recent stories. However, while he’s undeniably a leader, the moments where Batman has expressed himself as a traditional, caring father are rare in the DC Universe. This new Webtoon looks to remedy that and is bound to appeal to DC fans who have been clamoring for more Bat-Dad content. The series is being written by CRC Payne with art from StarBite, also known as Rhett Bloom.

It certainly looks like Wayne Family Adventures will deliver the Bat-Family hijinks, as the first three episodes are already live on Webtoon. Featuring fun tales such as Duke Thomas moving in and being given a tour of Wayne Manor by Damian, the Bat-Family fighting over Alfred’s delicious desserts, and Barbara Gordon’s struggles to keep her siblings in line as Oracle, it’s clear that Wayne Family Adventures is going to feature all sorts of fun interactions between Batman and his kids.

The idea of the Bat-Family acting like an actual family is something that many DC fans love to see, especially when it’s juxtaposed with their unique struggles as Gotham’s premier vigilantes. Sibling rivalries and exasperated parenting are incredibly relatable dynamics that are absolutely hilarious when they’re being dealt with by Batman and his sidekicks. It’s also great to see Alfred back in the mix as the Bat-Family’s other surrogate father, considering he passed away in the main DC continuity a few years ago.

Wayne Family Adventures looks to be a super fun time, and it being released as a webtoon is the perfect vehicle for this sort of concept, offering quick micro-stories that provide some comical and heartwarming looks behind the scenes of the Bat-Family, as well as what goes on when they’re not actively patrolling the streets of Gotham. Here’s hoping Batman and his family’s new series sticks around for a while so fans can enjoy even more Bat-Family antics.
