A new Batman: Arkham Knight mod on PC allows users to equip the Bat with a moveset inspired by combat in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy. In the nearly seven years since its release, myriad Batman: Arkham Knight mods have hit the web, each one allowing players to experience the gritty open-world in a new way. One mod, in particular, added a Joaquin Phoenix-inspired skin for the Joker. Another included a fan-made Batman skin inspired by the recently released Matt Reeves film. Yet another PC mod brought the Man of Steel to the Rocksteady-developed adventure.

Batman: Arkham Knight originally hit store shelves in the summer of 2015 for PC and consoles, inviting players to embark on Rocksteady’s final Batman-focused outing – barring the PlayStation VR game, of course. Arkham Knight regularly received updates and DLC in the years that followed, quite a few of which featured Batman skins from the likes of BvS. In the absence of new content, crafty PC modders continue to come up with ways of further expanding upon the open-world experience.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

As spotted by DSOGaming, PC modder LootedGarbage recently uploaded a Batman: Arkham Knight mod boasting combat moves from the Christian Bale-starring Dark Knight Trilogy. Players can access the moveset via Nexus Mods, though they’ll need to own the Red Hood DLC since some of Jason Todd’s behaviors were used to build the TDK moveset. Notably, YouTube channel LödedGarbage shared gameplay footage of the TDK-inspired mod in action via Arkham Knight’s AR challenges. Check it out in the video linked below:

Admittedly, The Dark Knight Trilogy’s combat moves were never as stylized as Ben Affleck’s Batman or as hard-hitting as Robert Pattinson’s version of the Caped Crusader. It’s still cool to see this particular style recreated in Arkham Knight, though, especially since Bale’s Batsuit fits so well in the world of the Arkhamverse.

Barring the aforementioned Batman: Arkham VR title from Rocksteady, it’s been nearly seven years since WB Games deployed a Batman-starring interactive experience. Fortunately, the wait to explore Gotham once again will come to an end this fall with the October release of Gotham Knights – which does not take place in the Arkham-branded franchise. Players will assume the role of Bat-family members like Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl and Nightwing instead of once more donning the Dark Knight’s cape and cowl. But plenty of the vigilante’s rogues continue to roam the streets of Gotham City in his absence, meaning much of what makes the Bat mythos so special still takes center stage.

Batman: Arkham Knight is playable on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
