Bruno Duarte from Below Deck has alleged that Captain Lee forced him to drink alcohol when he knew his deckhand did not drink. A whole new side of the franchise is being revealed and fans are not happy with what they are hearing. Season 5 of Below Deck was filled with drama as usual for the high seas charter.

However, no one has really taken aim at the chief stew and captain. Bruno is revealing behind the scenes issues, like Kate never cleaning unless the cameras were on, and changing her personality to fit her reality TV character. Even though the show may be behind him, he has not forgotten how terrible his experience was. The scruffy sea captain has come under fire due to allegations that Bruno is making while he worked under Captain Lee Rosbach.

According to his interview on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, the deckhand explains how his season was “tricky and intense.” During the podcast, Bruno explained to listeners that he originally joined the show because he was a massive fan. He actually decided to go into yachting after watching a few seasons and felt that it was time to move on from the cruise ships. Unfortunately, fans are aware his experience was not all that he has hoped it would be since he was often picked on by the other crew members.

While spilling the tea during his December 7 interview, he revealed that he is still in the yachting industry and the show is completely unrealistic. In a bombshell accusation, Bruno revealed that he did not feel Captain Lee or Kate Chastain put their work first and alleged he was treated badly because he wasn’t “American” saying, “Captain Lee would make jokes about my accent. It was very, very uncomfortable sometimes to be with him.” The former deckhand ended his segment by saying that while out at a dinner Captain Lee forced him to have two bites of his booze covered dessert, “Just the fact that you have a person like him, a captain that does that to a crew member, which is off duty and needs to start the next day and doesn’t make an effort to talk to you, but then forces you to have two spoons of that dessert, which doesn’t make any sense. For me it was not even harassment, it was like spitting on me like.”

Even though some of the other cast members may have been a little shifty, Bruno was thrilled with how he was portrayed since he feels to production crew did a good job at capturing his essence. But fans should not expect to see Bruno back on another season.
